Product Overview

The Russell Collection Women's long sleeve herringbone shirt offers a sophisticated departure from the standard corporate uniform. As the first herringbone shirt introduced to the imprint market, it serves as a contemporary alternative to the traditional Oxford weave, providing a refined texture that is both visually appealing and exceptionally durable. This shirt is specifically designed for professional women who require a garment that maintains its structural integrity throughout a demanding workday while offering a tailored, elegant aesthetic.

Key Features
  • Contemporary Herringbone Weave: The distinctive pattern provides a modern texture that elevates the shirt above standard plain weaves, ensuring a professional appearance that stands out in corporate settings.
  • Opaque Fabric Construction: The weave is engineered for 'no show-through', providing peace of mind and confidence in well-lit environments.
  • Tailored Fit: Integrated darts at the chest, front, and back hem create a fitted silhouette that offers a sharp, professional profile without sacrificing comfort.
  • Modern Detailing: Featuring a neat, modern collar and a narrow width placket, the design aligns with current retail fashion standards.
  • Stylish Narrow Cuffs: The extended gauntlet and narrow cuffs add a touch of modern elegance to the sleeves.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a strategic blend of 84% cotton and 16% polyester, this shirt delivers the breathability of natural fibres with the added resilience of synthetics. The lightweight fabric is surprisingly hard-wearing, making it suitable for daily rotation in a professional wardrobe. The herringbone weave isn't just for show; it contributes to the fabric's durability, ensuring it resists the typical wear and tear associated with hospitality and office roles. The inclusion of polyester helps the garment retain its shape and reduces the time required for ironing, fulfilling the 'easy care' promise for busy professionals.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This herringbone shirt is an excellent candidate for custom branding. For a truly professional appearance, we recommend embroidery. The stability of the fabric blend allows for high-density stitching, making it perfect for corporate logos or staff names. If your branding requires large, vibrant graphics, the smooth surface of the herringbone weave also accommodates high-quality print transfers. Every customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on decades of experience since our establishment in 1976 to ensure your brand is represented with precision.

Use Cases

This garment is perfectly suited for front-of-house hospitality roles, corporate office environments, and high-end retail uniforms. Its versatile design allows it to transition seamlessly from a formal board meeting to a more relaxed evening event. It is particularly effective for teams requiring a unified, polished look that differs from the standard office attire.

Why MyWorkwear

Choosing MyWorkwear means partnering with a company that has been at the forefront of the UK workwear industry since 1976. Based in Telford, we combine nearly half a century of expertise with modern techniques to deliver garments that meet the highest standards. We understand that your uniform is a reflection of your business, which is why we treat every stitch and print with the technical authority your brand deserves.

Practical Advice

The shirt features a fitted cut, so we recommend reviewing the size guide carefully to ensure the desired silhouette. It layers exceptionally well under tailored jackets or V-neck knitwear without adding unnecessary bulk. For those between sizes, the darted construction means choosing the larger size may offer more comfort across the shoulders while still maintaining a tapered look at the waist.

Caring for your product

To maintain the pristine finish and texture of the herringbone weave, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Washing at this temperature effectively removes everyday soils while preserving the integrity of the cotton fibres and any custom embroidery.

This garment is suitable for tumble drying. We advise using a medium heat setting to prevent excessive shrinkage and to help the 'easy care' properties of the fabric release wrinkles, making the final ironing process much more efficient. Avoid the use of bleach, as this will damage the fabric fibres and lead to premature wear of your custom branding.
