Design & Performance
Constructed from 100% polyester microfleece, the R329X is built for durability and thermal efficiency. The medium-weight fabric is substantial enough to trap heat effectively while remaining breathable enough to prevent overheating during physical exertion. Its unlined design ensures it is not overly bulky, allowing for ease of movement and making it an excellent mid-layer.
The garment is designed with a generous fit, acknowledging the need for comfort during long shifts and the likely requirement to wear layers underneath. The inclusion of a hang tag loop and a tear-out label demonstrates a practical approach to design, focusing on the daily needs of the modern tradesperson.
Customisation: Embroidery Only
This safety microfleece is available for customisation via embroidery only. The naturally textured pile of microfleece is unsuitable for print methods, as the surface does not allow for a smooth, lasting bond. Embroidery, however, provides a premium, durable finish where the threads are securely integrated into the fabric, ensuring your company branding remains intact through heavy use and frequent laundering.
Our in-house embroidery experts, established in 1976, utilise high-precision machinery at our Telford facility. By choosing embroidery, you are opting for a sophisticated look that reflects the quality of your business while maintaining the garment's professional integrity.
Use Cases
The R329X is ideally suited for a variety of demanding sectors including construction, logistics, and utilities. The orange variant is specifically compliant with RIS-3279-TOM Issue 2, making it the required standard for those working within the rail industry. It is an excellent choice for any professional who needs to balance the requirement for high-visibility safety with the practical need for a warm, comfortable outerwear layer.

Practical Advice
This fleece is designed with a generous fit to accommodate layering. We recommend ordering your standard size, which should provide ample room for a base layer or sweatshirt underneath. With a size range extending from Small to 4XL, this garment is suitable for outfitting diverse teams. Always check the specific size-to-fit measurements to ensure the best possible comfort and safety for your staff.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and safety certification of this garment, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove workplace dirt without damaging the integrity of the polyester fibres or the reflective strips.
Do not use bleach, as this will adversely affect the fluorescent properties of the fabric and potentially void its safety rating. We advise against tumble drying or dry-cleaning; instead, allow the garment to air dry to prevent heat damage to the reflective bands. If ironing is required, use a medium heat setting to avoid melting the synthetic fibres.
High-visibility garments must be kept clean to remain effective. If the fleece becomes permanently stained or the fluorescent colour fades, the garment's visibility is compromised and it should be replaced immediately. Please note this garment is rated for a maximum of 25 washes to ensure it maintains its certified safety standards.
