Product Overview
The Result Safeguard safety cargo trousers are engineered for professionals who require a blend of high-visibility protection and everyday functionality. These trousers are not merely a piece of safety equipment; they are a well-engineered garment designed to withstand the rigours of active work environments. Constructed from a durable polycotton twill with mechanical stretch, they provide the mobility needed for physical tasks without sacrificing the structure required for a professional appearance.
Key Features
- Certified Safety Standards: These trousers meet EN ISO 20471:2013 Class 2, and the orange variant complies with RIS-3279-TOM, ensuring you remain visible and compliant on-site or near rail infrastructure.
- Strategic Reinforcement: Bar tacking at stress points prevents premature wear and tear, extending the lifespan of the garment in demanding conditions.
- Functional Storage: Equipped with rear patch pockets, a ruler pocket, side cargo pockets, and a hammer loop, providing ample space for essential tools and personal items.
- Kneepad Integration: Dedicated kneepad pockets allow for the insertion of internal padding, protecting your joints during prolonged periods of kneeling.
- Dirt Management: Black contrast panels are positioned in areas prone to soiling, helping to mask grime and maintain a cleaner appearance throughout the shift.
Design & Performance
The fabric composition of 80% polyester and 20% cotton twill offers the perfect balance between moisture management and comfort. The mechanical stretch inherent in the weave allows the fabric to move with the wearer, reducing restriction when climbing or crouching. A partially elasticised, high-rear waistband ensures the trousers remain securely in place, even when bending, while the generous fit provides sufficient room for movement.
Reflective bands are heat-applied around the legs, ensuring 360-degree visibility. The inclusion of a front zip with button fastening and belt loops allows for a customisable fit, ensuring the trousers remain comfortable during long shifts in varied environments.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
Despite being high-performance safetywear, these trousers are designed with branding in mind. Embroidery is a superior choice for corporate logos or staff names, providing a durable, raised finish that withstands the industrial laundering process. For those requiring larger, high-impact branding on the legs or pockets, print offers a bold and clear finish.
Our in-house customisation team, based in our Telford facility since 1976, manages every aspect of the branding process. Whether you require precise embroidery or vibrant print, we ensure your company identity is represented with technical accuracy and professional quality.
Use Cases
These trousers are essential for workers in construction, logistics, and road maintenance where high-visibility certification is a site requirement. The orange variant is specifically suited for rail industry professionals, while the inclusion of multiple pockets makes them a favourite for electricians, plumbers, and general tradespeople who need their tools within reach.

Practical Advice
The sizing for these trousers ranges from XS to 4XL and is designed with a generous fit to allow for ease of movement. When selecting your size, consider whether you will be wearing thermal base layers underneath in colder months. The high-rear waistband is particularly useful for those who spend a lot of time bending or reaching, as it prevents the trousers from riding down.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility performance and structural integrity of these trousers, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Regular washing is essential, as the reflective properties are significantly reduced if the fabric becomes heavily soiled with grease or dirt.
Do not use bleach when laundering this garment, as chemical agents can damage the fluorescent dyes and degrade the reflective bands. We also advise against tumble drying; high heat can cause the mechanical stretch components to lose their elasticity and may damage the reflective strips. A medium-heat iron can be used if necessary.
Please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 25 washes to ensure it maintains its safety certification. If the trousers become permanently stained or the high-visibility colour begins to fade, they must be replaced immediately to ensure you remain visible and safe on the job.
