Product Overview

The Result Core Junior Microfleece Lined Jacket (R203J) is a dependable outerwear solution designed to withstand the unpredictable British weather. Specifically engineered for younger users, this jacket prioritises both protection and comfort. It features a robust StormDri PU coated polyester outer shell that serves as an effective barrier against wind and rain, while the interior is lined with a soft microfleece to provide essential warmth during cooler months. This combination ensures the jacket remains functional throughout the year, whether used for daily school commutes or organised outdoor activities.

Key Features

  • Fully taped seams: By sealing every stitched joint, this jacket ensures that water cannot penetrate the garment, keeping the wearer dry in persistent rain.

  • Fold-away waterproof hood: This provides versatile protection that can be tucked away when the sun decides to make a brief appearance.

  • Reflective tape across the lower back: Enhances the visibility of the wearer during darker mornings and evenings, a critical safety feature for school-age children.

  • Zipped side pockets: These offer secure storage for small personal items, preventing them from being lost during active play.

  • Elasticated cuffs: These create a comfortable seal around the wrists, preventing cold draughts from entering the sleeves.

Design & Performance

The design of the R203J focuses on practical performance without the burden of excessive weight. The outer StormDri fabric is rated to 2000mm waterproofness, which is more than sufficient for standard rainy conditions. The windproof nature of the PU coating, combined with the medium-weight microfleece lining, creates a microclimate that retains body heat while remaining breathable enough for active use. The inclusion of a decorator's access point at the lower back hem demonstrates a thoughtful approach to garment construction, allowing for high-quality customisation without compromising the integrity of the lining.

Customisation: Embroidery Only

For this specific garment, we recommend embroidery as the sole method of customisation. The presence of the microfleece lining and the technical PU coating on the outer fabric means that embroidery provides the most durable and professional finish. Our in-house embroidery team, a fixture of MyWorkwear since 1976, uses precision machinery to ensure your school or club logo is rendered with clarity and longevity. Unlike other methods that may struggle with the texture of the fleece or the waterproof coating, embroidery creates a permanent, high-quality mark that withstands the rigours of the playground.

Use Cases

This jacket is an ideal choice for school uniforms, providing a smart and cohesive look while offering genuine weather protection. It is equally suited for youth sports teams, scout groups, or any outdoor educational programme where durability and visibility are paramount. Its lightweight nature makes it easy for children to carry or pack away when not required.

Why MyWorkwear

MyWorkwear has been a staple of the UK workwear industry since 1976. Operating from our specialised facility in Telford, we bring decades of expertise to every garment we produce. We understand that junior workwear needs to be just as tough as the adult versions, and we apply the same rigorous quality standards to our children's range as we do for our industrial clients.

Practical Advice

The R203J is available in a broad size range from 3/4 years up to 13/14 years. Given the microfleece lining, we suggest considering what the child will be wearing underneath; if they frequently wear heavy sweatshirts or jumpers, you might find that choosing one size up provides a more comfortable fit for layering.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and waterproof integrity of this jacket, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. Proper maintenance ensures that the taped seams and PU coating remain effective for the life of the garment.

We recommend a domestic wash at 30°C. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the waterproof membrane and cause the taped seams to delaminate, eventually leading to leaks.

Do not use bleach under any circumstances. Bleach is a harsh chemical that will strip the waterproof coating from the polyester and degrade the vibrancy of your embroidered logo.

The jacket must not be tumble dried. High heat from a dryer can melt the PU coating and cause the fabric to shrink or warp. Instead, hang the jacket to air dry naturally.

Do not iron this garment. The outer polyester and the inner fleece are synthetic materials that will melt if they come into direct contact with a hot iron, resulting in permanent damage to the jacket.
