Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider what you will be wearing underneath. These are designed to be overtrousers, so they feature a slightly more generous cut to fit over standard work trousers. If you are between sizes or plan on wearing heavy-duty thermal layers, opting for the larger size may provide better ease of movement. The ankle adjusters are particularly useful for cinching the fabric around safety boots to prevent water ingress from the ground up.
Caring for your product
Maintaining technical waterproof fabrics is essential to ensure they continue to perform as intended. We recommend a cool machine wash using Regatta Isotex cleaner or a pure soap. Conventional detergents can contain chemicals that strip the durable water repellent (DWR) coating from the fabric, causing it to 'wet out' and lose breathability.
Do not use bleach on this garment. Chlorine and other bleaching agents will weaken the polyester fibres and destroy the waterproof membrane, leading to permanent damage. Similarly, do not dry clean the trousers, as the chemicals used in the process are too harsh for the Isotex coating.
Air drying is the only recommended method; do not tumble dry. High heat can cause the internal taped seams to peel away or delaminate, which will result in the trousers leaking. Likewise, do not iron the garment, as the synthetic fabric and waterproof coating will melt under direct heat.
Ensure the trousers are completely dry before storing them. Storing them while damp can lead to the growth of mildew and the breakdown of the internal lining. Always wash the item separately to prevent colour transfer and to ensure a thorough clean.
