Product Overview
The Regatta Professional Essential thermal bodywarmer (RG642) is a sophisticated addition to any professional wardrobe, designed to provide warmth without the restrictive bulk of a full jacket. Engineered for the modern workforce, this garment balances technical performance with a clean, professional aesthetic. It serves as a versatile outer layer for transitional weather or a substantial mid-layer when the temperature truly drops. By utilizing recycled materials in its construction, it also meets the growing demand for sustainable workwear without compromising on the durability required for daily trade use.
Key Features
- Polyester Micro Poplin Fabric: This lightweight material offers a smooth, professional finish that is surprisingly resilient against daily wear and tear.
- Water-Repellent Finish: The outer shell is treated to shed light rain and moisture, keeping you dry during brief exposure to the elements.
- Recycled Thermoguard Insulation: High-performance synthetic fibres trap air to provide impressive thermal retention while remaining lightweight.
- Customisable Zip Pulls: Supplied with four alternative colour zip pulls, allowing you to align the garment's finer details with your corporate branding.
- Sustainability: Made using recycled materials, supporting your business's environmental commitments.
Design & Performance
The performance of this bodywarmer lies in its micro poplin construction. Unlike heavier canvas materials, this fabric allows for ease of movement, which is essential for tradespeople working in confined spaces or overhead. The Thermoguard insulation is strategically distributed to provide maximum core warmth, ensuring your internal temperature remains stable even when the external environment is less than hospitable. The cut-away inner label is a small but thoughtful touch, reducing irritation during long shifts and making it easier to rebrand for your own team.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Regatta Essential bodywarmer is a premier choice for customisation. Its smooth micro poplin surface is particularly well-suited for both print and embroidery. We generally recommend embroidery for chest logos to provide a traditional, professional appearance that can withstand repeated industrial cleaning. For larger, high-impact branding across the shoulders, our precision printing techniques ensure your logo remains bold and clear. Every piece is handled by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on nearly five decades of experience to ensure your brand is represented perfectly.
Use Cases
This bodywarmer is an ideal choice for warehouse supervisors, site managers, and delivery drivers who frequently move between indoor and outdoor environments. Its low-profile design also makes it a favourite for technicians and engineers who require core warmth but need their arms completely free for precision manual work.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider what you intend to wear underneath. If you plan to layer this over a thick hoodie or sweatshirt, you may find the more generous end of your size range more comfortable. For those wearing it over a standard polo shirt or office shirt, the fit is true to size. The lightweight nature of the fabric also makes it highly packable, perfect for keeping in the van for when the weather turns.
Caring for your product
To maintain the technical integrity of the water-repellent finish, we recommend a cool machine wash using Regatta Isotex Cleaner or a mild, pure soap. Avoid using standard biological detergents which can break down the protective coatings over time.
Do not use bleach under any circumstances. Bleach will weaken the polyester fibres and cause significant discolouration to both the fabric and your custom branding.
It is vital that you do not tumble dry this garment. High heat can cause the synthetic insulation to clump or melt, destroying its thermal properties. Instead, hang the bodywarmer to air dry naturally.
If the garment requires pressing, use a cool iron only. Ensure it is completely dry before storing it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the fabric from becoming brittle or fading.
