Product Overview
The ProRTX Pro Bodywarmer (RX551) is a versatile layering solution designed for those who require core warmth without sacrificing the range of motion needed for manual tasks. Constructed with a water-repellent polyester outer shell and substantial internal padding, this garment provides significant insulation during colder shifts. Its quilted design ensures even heat distribution, making it an essential piece of equipment for year-round work environments where a full jacket might prove too restrictive.
Key Features
- Fleece-Lined Stand Collar: Provides immediate warmth and comfort against the neck, shielding the wearer from draughts.
- Multiple Secure Pockets: Two side front zipped pockets and two inside chest pockets offer ample storage for essential tools and personal items.
- Dropped Back Hem: Ensures consistent coverage and protection when bending or reaching, maintaining a professional appearance and physical comfort.
- Internal Zip Guard: Prevents the full-length zip from irritating the chin or snagging on underlayers.
- Embroidery Access: A dedicated access point on the bottom back edge allows for high-quality customisation without compromising the garment's internal lining.
Design & Performance
The garment is engineered for longevity in active work environments. The outer shell is crafted from a tightly woven polyester with water-repellent properties, designed to shed light rain and resist abrasions. Inside, the taffeta lining and significant quilted padding provide a substantial thermal barrier. The inclusion of a back neck hanging loop is a practical addition for storage in locker rooms or workshops.
The fit is tailored to accommodate layering over polo shirts or fleeces, with a size range extending from Small to 4XL. This inclusivity ensures that all members of a workforce can be outfitted in uniform, high-performance attire that reflects the standards of the business.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The ProRTX Pro Bodywarmer is an excellent canvas for corporate branding. We recommend embroidery for a superior, professional finish on the chest area; this method is particularly durable and withstands the rigours of daily wear and industrial washing. For larger, more vibrant displays, such as company names across the back, our high-quality print services are an ideal choice.
All customisation is handled at our Telford facility by our expert in-house team. Having been established in 1976, MyWorkwear possesses the technical knowledge to ensure your logo is applied with precision, maintaining the integrity of the fabric while ensuring your team looks the part.
Use Cases
This bodywarmer is particularly suited for tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers who transition between outdoor and indoor environments. It is also a staple for warehouse operatives and delivery drivers who require thermal protection while remaining active. The smart, quilted aesthetic also makes it appropriate for site supervisors and management who need a practical yet professional outer layer.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear beneath the bodywarmer. If you plan to wear it over a heavy fleece or sweatshirt, you may find that moving up one size provides a more comfortable fit for active movement. The dropped back hem is specifically designed to provide extra protection, so ensure the garment sits comfortably at the hips to maximise this benefit.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and professional appearance of your bodywarmer, we recommend a machine wash at 30°C. Washing at this temperature preserves the water-repellent coating and ensures the quilted padding does not lose its loft or insulation properties.
Avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemicals will degrade the polyester fibres and cause the colour of your garment and branding to fade prematurely. This garment should not be tumble dried; instead, allow it to air dry to prevent the synthetic materials from shrinking or becoming distorted by heat.
Do not iron this bodywarmer. The heat from a domestic iron can melt the outer polyester shell and damage the internal padding. Similarly, dry cleaning is not recommended as the chemical solvents used can strip the water-repellent finish from the fabric.
