Product Overview

The WX3 Modaflame Work FR Bib and Brace represents a sophisticated approach to hazardous-environment workwear, combining contemporary styling with rigorous safety standards. This specialised garment is designed for professionals who require permanent flame resistance without sacrificing mobility. Built from inherently flame-resistant fabric, this bib and brace provides a reliable barrier against heat and flame throughout the life of the garment.

Key Features
  • Innovative Stretch Panelling: Strategically placed panels provide exceptional flexibility and ease of movement in critical areas, ensuring the garment does not restrict you during complex tasks.
  • Knee Pad Pockets: Integrated pockets allow for the addition of knee pads, providing vital protection for your joints when working on hard surfaces.
  • Multiple Secure Pockets: A variety of pockets offer ample and secure storage for essential tools and personal items, keeping them close at hand.
  • Side Elasticated Waistband: The waistband features elastication on the sides to ensure a secure yet comfortable fit that adjusts to your movements.
  • Embroidered FR Logos: High-quality flame-resistant logos are included to signify the garment's protective capabilities clearly.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a medium-weight fabric blend of 60% modacrylic and 39% cotton, this bib and brace offers a balance of durability and breathability. The addition of 1% carbon fibre provides essential anti-static protection, which is critical in many industrial settings. The stretch components, which include a touch of elastane, are also inherently flame-resistant, ensuring that the garment's safety performance remains consistent across every inch of fabric. This is a substantial, sturdy garment designed to withstand the rigours of daily professional use while maintaining a modern, professional appearance.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This bib and brace is perfectly suited for customisation to align with your corporate identity. For a sophisticated and durable finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos or staff names; our high-quality threads provide a professional appearance that stands up to industrial laundering. For larger, more prominent branding, our technical print options are an excellent choice. Our in-house team in Telford has been managing workwear customisation since 1976, ensuring your branding is applied with technical precision and care.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically engineered for those working in the utilities, electrical, and petrochemical industries. It is ideal for any professional environment where protection against heat, flame, and static discharge is a mandatory safety requirement.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, please consider the garments you intend to wear underneath. The bib and brace design is intended to be worn over base layers, so ensure there is sufficient room for comfortable movement. The side elastication will help maintain a neat profile while providing the necessary give for active tasks.

Caring for your product

To maintain the protective performance and longevity of this garment, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Using higher temperatures may lead to premature degradation of the fibres and could affect the fit over time.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this bib and brace. Bleach can cause significant damage to the structural integrity of the Modaflame fibres and may compromise the inherent flame-resistant properties of the material.

When drying, use a low tumble dry setting. Excessive heat during the drying process can cause shrinkage and may reduce the elasticity of the stretch panels, affecting the garment's comfort and fit.

If ironing is required, ensure the temperature does not exceed 150°C. This prevents scorching of the fabric and protects any custom branding from heat damage.

This garment should not be dry cleaned. The chemicals used in the dry cleaning process can interfere with the inherent safety properties of the fabric, potentially reducing its effectiveness in a hazardous situation.
