Product Overview
The PS61 Work Safe Helmet is a dependable choice for professionals requiring robust head protection in demanding environments. Finished in a high-visibility orange, this industrial safety helmet is specifically designed as an unvented unit, making it suitable for those working on low-voltage installations where electrical insulation is a priority. It provides a reliable barrier against falling objects and impact, ensuring your safety remains the primary focus throughout the working day.
Key Features
- Unvented Shell: The solid shell design is engineered for safe use on low voltage installations, providing essential insulation that vented helmets cannot offer.
- 6-Point Plastic Harness: This internal suspension system effectively absorbs and distributes the force of an impact across the head, reducing the risk of injury.
- Slip Ratchet Adjustment: The intuitive adjustment system allows the wearer to achieve a secure and comfortable fit quickly and easily, accommodating various head sizes without fuss.
- Universal Side Slots: These integrated slots allow for the easy attachment of compatible accessories, such as ear defenders or face shields, enhancing the helmet's versatility.
- Rain Gutter: A practical design feature that channels water away from the face and neck, ensuring better visibility and comfort during inclement weather.
- Integrated Sweatband: The included sweatband helps to manage moisture and prevent perspiration from entering the eyes, maintaining comfort during long shifts.
Design & Performance
Constructed from High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), this helmet is built to withstand the rigours of a busy worksite. HDPE is known for its high strength-to-density ratio, resulting in a helmet that is sturdy and impact-resistant while remaining a lightweight and comfortable option for all-day wear. The regular peak provides a traditional profile that offers protection against overhead hazards while maintaining a clear field of vision for the wearer.
Why No Customisation?
As this is a critical piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), we do not offer customisation on this helmet. Applying heat-press transfers or adhesive vinyls can potentially damage the structural integrity of the HDPE shell or react with the plastic. Furthermore, customisation could obscure mandatory safety markings and certifications required for site compliance. We provide this item as-is to ensure your safety is never compromised.
Use Cases
This helmet is an essential piece of equipment for electricians working on low-voltage systems, as well as construction workers, plumbers, and mechanics who require reliable head protection. It is also well-suited for tree surgeons and site visitors who need to adhere to strict safety protocols in hazardous environments.

Practical Advice
To ensure maximum protection, the slip ratchet should be adjusted so the helmet fits snugly and does not tilt forward or backward. If you are working in loud environments, take advantage of the universal side slots to fit compatible ear protection. Always inspect the shell for cracks or signs of stress before each use.
Caring for your product
Maintaining your safety helmet is vital for ensuring it continues to provide the necessary protection over its lifespan.
We recommend cleaning the HDPE shell and the plastic harness with a mild soap solution and warm water. Avoid using strong chemical solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can weaken the plastic structure, making it brittle and less effective at absorbing impacts.
Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when it is not in use. Constant exposure to UV rays can degrade the material over time. Finally, should the helmet sustain a significant impact—even if no damage is visible—it must be replaced immediately, as the internal structure may have been compromised.
