Product Overview

The BizWeld Plus Welding Helmet is a sophisticated piece of personal protective equipment designed to provide professional welders with superior optical protection and operational efficiency. At its core is an advanced auto-darkening filter that eliminates the need for manual lens adjustment during the welding cycle. This system remains in a clear state (DIN 4) for setup and positioning, instantly transitioning to a darkened state the moment the arc is struck. This seamless transition ensures that the wearer’s vision is protected from harmful radiation without sacrificing productivity.

Key Features

  • Auto-Darkening Technology: The lens switches from light to dark in just 0.04 milliseconds, providing immediate protection against flash and reducing the risk of arc eye.
  • Adjustable Shade Range: Using the external knob, the dark state can be adjusted between DIN 9 and DIN 13, allowing the user to tailor the protection level to specific welding applications and amperages.
  • Solar-Powered System: The primary power is supplied by solar cells, supported by two built-in lithium batteries. This combination provides a long service life without the recurring cost or downtime associated with replacing batteries.
  • Precision Timing: With a return time from dark to clear of 0.03 to 0.04 seconds, the helmet ensures the user can inspect their work immediately after the weld is completed.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a robust blend of Polypropylene, ABS, and Polyethylene, the helmet shell is designed to withstand the rigours of a high-heat industrial environment. Despite its substantial build, the inclusion of nylon and foam in the internal architecture ensures it remains comfortable for extended wear during long shifts. The design prioritises balance, reducing neck strain while the steel components within the mechanism provide long-term durability. This is a sturdy piece of equipment that provides a reliable shield against sparks, spatter, and radiation.

Why No Customisation?

As a critical piece of safety equipment, we do not offer customisation or branding on the BizWeld Plus Welding Helmet. Applying adhesives, paints, or heat-applied transfers could potentially compromise the structural integrity of the shell or interfere with the sensitive solar sensors and auto-darkening electronics. To ensure the helmet performs exactly to its safety certifications, it is supplied exclusively in its original, unmodified form.

Use Cases

This helmet is an essential tool for professional welders across various disciplines, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding. It is particularly suited for industrial workshops, fabrication plants, and construction sites where high-precision work and consistent eye protection are mandatory requirements.

Practical Advice

Before beginning work, use the external adjustment knob to set the shade level appropriate for your specific welding task. Ensure the front cover lens is clean; a clear view is vital for both safety and the quality of your weld. If working in low-light environments, the solar cells will still operate effectively as they are primarily powered by the light of the welding arc itself.

Caring for your product

To maintain the optical performance and safety integrity of your welding helmet, regular maintenance is essential. Neglecting the cleanliness of the sensors can lead to delayed response times, which may result in eye fatigue or injury.

We recommend cleaning the auto-darkening lens and the external sensors with a soft, lint-free cloth and dedicated lens cleaner. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as these can scratch the protective surface and diminish visibility. Do not submerge the helmet in water, as this will cause irreparable damage to the internal lithium batteries and electronic components.

The helmet shell should be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove soot and metallic dust. Ensure the headgear and foam padding are kept dry to prevent degradation of the materials and to maintain a hygienic fit.
