Practical Advice
When applying this tape, we recommend using a high-quality polyester thread to match the durability of the tape’s backing. Ensure the tape is kept flat during the sewing process to avoid puckering, which can affect the uniformity of the reflective return. For maximum safety, consider the placement of the tape to ensure 360-degree visibility around the wearer’s body.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the integrity of reflective materials is paramount for ongoing safety. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles can prematurely degrade the glass beads responsible for reflectivity.
Avoid the use of bleach at all costs. Bleaching agents will chemically damage the reflective coating, rendering the tape ineffective for night-time safety. For drying, a normal tumble dry cycle is acceptable, but you should never iron this tape. The direct heat from an iron can melt the reflective surface, permanently destroying its ability to return light.
Please note that this product is rated for a maximum of 50 washes. Beyond this point, the reflective performance may fall below the required safety standards, and the tape or garment should be inspected and potentially replaced to ensure continued protection.
