Practical Advice
When selecting your size, remember that these trousers are designed with a generous fit to be worn over your primary work trousers. Generally, there is no need to size up, as the elasticated waist accommodates layering. For the most effective protection, ensure the stud hems are securely fastened over the top of your boots to prevent water from splashing up the leg.
Caring for your product
To maintain the waterproof integrity of the Sealtex Ocean fabric, it is essential to follow the care guidelines precisely. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High temperatures can damage the PVC coating and compromise the welded seams, leading to a loss of waterproof performance.
Do not use bleach, as harsh chemicals will degrade the PU coating and fade the navy finish. For drying, these trousers should be drip-line dried only. You must never tumble dry or iron this garment; the intense heat of a dryer or iron will melt the technical coatings and permanently ruin the trousers.
Finally, avoid dry cleaning. The solvents used in dry cleaning processes can strip the protective layers from the polyester tricot, leaving the fabric brittle and ineffective against the rain.
