Product Overview

The PW3 Modaflame Work HVO Multi-Norm FR Jacket is a sophisticated solution for professionals operating in high-risk environments. This contemporary two-tone high-visibility jacket combines a stylish silhouette with uncompromising safety standards. Engineered for versatility, it provides protection against multiple hazards while ensuring the wearer remains visible and comfortable throughout the working day. The design is as practical as it is protective, featuring a modern aesthetic that maintains a professional appearance on-site.

Key Features

  • Segmented Reflective Trim: This heat-applied tape provides superior visibility while allowing for greater garment flexibility and breathability compared to traditional solid tapes.
  • Specialised Smartphone Pocket: Designed with modern dimensions in mind, this pocket ensures your communication devices are secure yet easily accessible.
  • Reinforced Twin Stitched Seams: These double-sewn seams offer exceptional durability, ensuring the jacket can withstand the physical demands of manual labour without risk of tearing.
  • Zipped Lower Pockets: Large, secure storage areas provide ample space for essential tools and personal items, keeping them safe during movement.
  • Adjustable Hook and Loop Cuffs: Allows the wearer to tailor the fit around the wrists, preventing debris from entering the sleeves and ensuring a secure interface with work gloves.

Design & Performance

The jacket is constructed from Modaflame Work HVO fabric, a complex blend of 61% Modacrylic, 18% Viscose, 15% Polyester, 5% Aramid, and 1% Carbon Fibre. This substantial fabric is inherently flame resistant, meaning the protective properties are integrated into the fibres and will not diminish with repeated washing. This unique blend also provides excellent moisture management, ensuring that even during strenuous activity, the wearer remains dry and comfortable.

To further enhance performance, the garment incorporates Modaflame Work Stretch panels. Comprising 60% Modacrylic, 35% Cotton, 4% Elastane, and 1% Carbon Fibre, these panels are strategically placed to allow for ease of movement and greater flexibility. The inclusion of carbon fibre ensures permanent anti-static protection, making this jacket a comprehensive choice for multi-risk environments.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To ensure your team maintains a professional appearance, this jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is the preferred method for a traditional, high-quality finish for company logos and individual names, providing a durable result that lasts the life of the garment. For larger, more striking designs, our high-quality printing service offers a bold alternative.

Our expert in-house team in Telford has been handling customisation since 1976. We take great care to ensure that all branding is applied professionally, maintaining the technical integrity of this flame-resistant garment.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically engineered for use in industries such as petrochemicals, utilities, and rail (fully compliant with RIS 3279 standards). It is the ideal choice for engineers, site supervisors, and technical staff who require high-visibility protection that also shields against heat, flame, and static discharge.

Practical Advice

This is a substantial, sturdy jacket designed for protection. When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear underneath; we recommend pairing this with flame-resistant base layers to ensure a complete protective system. The adjustable cuffs should be used to create a snug fit, preventing any loose fabric from becoming a snag hazard.

Caring for your product

To ensure the jacket continues to provide maximum protection and maintains its professional appearance, it should be washed at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Using higher temperatures may damage the technical fibres and affect the high-visibility properties.

Do not use bleach under any circumstances. Bleaching agents will compromise the flame-resistant properties of the fabric and weaken the material's integrity. If using a tumble dryer, select a low heat setting to prevent shrinkage and preserve the life of the stretch panels and reflective trim.

If ironing is necessary, use a cool setting with a maximum temperature of 110°C. Do not iron directly over the reflective tape as it may melt. This garment is not suitable for dry cleaning, as the industrial chemicals used can interfere with the specialised fabric blend.
