Product Overview
The Bizflame Rain FR Winter Bomber Jacket is an industry-leading garment designed specifically for multi-risk environments where safety cannot be compromised. This EN certified jacket provides a comprehensive solution for professionals working in hazardous conditions that also demand protection from the British elements. It combines flame-resistant properties with a waterproof, breathable barrier, ensuring you remain dry, warm, and protected throughout the working day.
Key Features
- Flame Resistant Protection: The fabric and components are engineered to provide essential protection against heat and flames in hazardous work zones.
- Waterproof and Breathable Shell: The PU-coated polyester shell prevents water ingress while allowing internal moisture to escape, keeping the wearer comfortable during physical exertion.
- Anti-Static Properties: Integrated carbon fibres dissipate static electricity, making this garment suitable for environments where spark prevention is critical.
- Insulated Warmth: A modacrylic flame-resistant filling provides substantial thermal insulation for winter conditions.
- FR Cotton Lining: The interior is lined with flame-resistant cotton, offering a soft feel against the skin and an additional layer of protection.
Design & Performance
Engineering a garment that handles fire, rain, and cold simultaneously is no small feat. The shell fabric consists of a sophisticated blend of 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre. This combination ensures the jacket is not only tough enough to withstand daily wear on-site but also technically capable of preventing static build-up. The PU coating provides a reliable shield against heavy rain, while the breathable nature of the weave prevents the 'sauna effect' often found in lesser waterproof jackets.
The internal architecture is just as impressive. The modacrylic filling is a substantial, insulating material that retains heat effectively without adding excessive bulk, maintaining the classic bomber silhouette. The use of a flame-resistant cotton lining further enhances the wearer's comfort, providing a breathable natural-fibre feel that complements the high-performance synthetic outer layers.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To ensure your team presents a professional appearance, this jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery is particularly well-suited for company logos and staff names, providing a durable and textured finish that stands up well to the rigours of industrial work. If your branding requires large, high-impact graphics, our printing processes offer vibrant results that remain visible even in challenging conditions.
Our in-house team at our Telford facility has been perfecting the art of workwear customisation since 1976. We understand the technical requirements of applying branding to flame-resistant fabrics, ensuring that your corporate identity is applied with precision and care, maintaining the integrity of the garment’s safety certifications.
Use Cases
This jacket is an essential choice for those operating in the petrochemical, utility, and rail industries, where multi-norm protection is often a mandatory requirement. It is equally appropriate for any outdoor professional who requires high-level protection against flame and static risks while working in exposed, winter conditions.

Practical Advice
Given its generous bomber fit and winter insulation, we recommend selecting your standard size to allow for comfortable movement. If you intend to wear multiple heavy layers beneath the jacket, you may wish to consider the dimensions carefully to ensure a full range of motion in the shoulders and arms. The ribbed hem and cuffs are designed to keep heat in, so ensuring a snug fit at these points will maximise the jacket's thermal performance.
Caring for your product
To maintain the technical performance and flame-resistant properties of this jacket, it is vital to follow the specific care instructions provided. Failure to do so may degrade the protective qualities of the materials.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. This ensures that dirt and contaminants are removed without damaging the breathable PU coating or the flame-resistant fibres.
Under no circumstances should you use bleach on this garment. Bleaching agents will strip the flame-resistant treatments and weaken the synthetic fibres, rendering the jacket unsafe for use in hazardous environments.
Do not tumble dry or iron this jacket. High heat from drying machines or irons can cause the modacrylic filling to lose its loft and may melt the PU waterproof membrane. Instead, the jacket should be drip line dried to maintain its shape and technical integrity.
Finally, avoid dry cleaning this garment. The solvents used in dry cleaning can interfere with the carbon fibres and the chemical structure of the flame-resistant finish. Proper domestic laundering is the only recommended method for keeping this jacket in peak condition.
