Product Overview

The PW3 Hi-Vis Women's Winter Jacket is a precision-engineered outer layer that addresses the historically underserved need for high-performance safety wear specifically tailored for women. Eschewing the common 'unisex' approach, this garment has been designed and tested by women to provide a flattering and functional fit without compromising on protection. Built from our heavy-duty 300D Oxford polyester with a stain-resistant finish and double PU coating, it offers a robust barrier against the elements while maintaining a professional appearance in demanding environments.

Key Features

  • 300D Oxford Polyester Shell: The high-denier fabric provides exceptional durability and resistance to abrasions, ensuring the jacket survives the rigours of daily site work.
  • Insulatex Heat Reflective Lining: This clever panel reflects body heat back towards the wearer, providing superior warmth without the excessive bulk of traditional heavy insulation.
  • Double PU Coating and Stain Resistance: The protective finish ensures water beads off the surface while preventing dirt from becoming embedded in the fibres.
  • Multiple Zipped Pockets: Secure storage for essential tools and personal items ensures nothing is lost while moving across site.
  • Contoured Female Fit: Designed to follow the natural lines of the body, offering better mobility and comfort than oversized alternative styles.

Design & Performance

The performance of this jacket centres on the 300D Industry fabric. This is a substantial, sturdy material that feels resilient to the touch. The double PU coating provides an essential waterproof barrier, making it suitable for winter conditions. Inside, the polyester filling provides a steady thermal layer, while the Insulatex lining serves as a technical thermal booster. Unlike standard winter jackets that can feel restrictive, the PW382 is cut to allow for a full range of movement, ensuring that safety and productivity go hand-in-hand.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This jacket is an ideal canvas for corporate branding, supporting both print and embroidery. For a formal and enduring finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names; it provides a professional, three-dimensional look that withstands repeated washing. If you require large, high-impact designs for clear identification from a distance, our high-quality print process is an excellent alternative. All customisation is performed by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on nearly five decades of experience to ensure your brand is represented perfectly.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically designed for professional women working in construction, logistics, roadworks, and heavy industry. It is particularly effective for those working outdoors during the winter months who require the highest level of visibility (Orange/Black) alongside thermal protection and a fit that does not hinder their work.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been at the forefront of the UK workwear industry. Operating from our technical hub in Telford, we combine decades of heritage with modern customisation techniques. We understand that workwear is a vital piece of equipment, and our team is dedicated to ensuring every garment meets the professional standards your business deserves.

Practical Advice

To maximise the performance of the Insulatex lining, we recommend wearing moisture-wicking base layers rather than heavy cotton. This allows the jacket's thermal properties to work more efficiently. When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear underneath; while the fit is contoured for women, it is designed to accommodate standard workwear mid-layers comfortably.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and safety certifications of this garment, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. Maintaining the cleanliness of the hi-vis fabric is not just about appearance; it ensures the reflective properties remain effective.

We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a mild process. This temperature is sufficient to remove site dirt without damaging the PU coating or the heat-reflective lining. Avoid the use of bleach, as this will chemically damage the polyester fibres and degrade the hi-vis orange pigmentation.

Do not tumble dry or iron this jacket. High heat from drying cycles or iron plates can melt the synthetic shell and destroy the waterproof double PU coating. Instead, use drip line drying to allow the garment to regain its shape naturally. This jacket is rated for a maximum of 50 washes; exceeding this may reduce the effectiveness of the high-visibility properties.
