Product Overview

The PW3 Hi-Vis Winter Coverall is a technically advanced piece of safety equipment designed to provide comprehensive protection against the elements and workplace hazards. Constructed from our durable 300D Oxford fabric with a double PU coating, this coverall is engineered for those working in demanding environments where visibility and thermal insulation are non-negotiable. The contemporary design does not sacrifice utility for aesthetics, offering a well-engineered solution for winter work conditions.

Key Features

  • 300D Oxford PU Coated Fabric: This sturdy material provides exceptional durability and a stain-resistant finish, ensuring the garment remains clean and professional even in harsh environments.
  • Heavyweight Winter Padding: The substantial thermal insulation provides maximum protection against the cold, allowing for prolonged outdoor work in winter temperatures.
  • Detachable Quilt Lined Hood: This feature allows for versatility in changing weather conditions, providing extra warmth and protection when needed or a more streamlined profile when not.
  • Extra Long Side Leg Zips: These facilitate easier donning and removal, particularly when wearing bulky work boots, saving time and effort at the start and end of a shift.
  • Top-Loading Kneepad Pockets: Integrated pockets allow for the addition of knee protection, which is essential for tradespeople spending significant time working at ground level.
  • Eight Functional Storage Pockets: These provide ample secure space for tools and personal items, keeping essential equipment within easy reach.

Design & Performance

The performance of this coverall is rooted in its material composition. The shell is crafted from a medium-to-heavyweight 100% polyester 300D Oxford weave, which is renowned for its resistance to abrasions and tears. The double PU coating provides a robust barrier against moisture, while the stain-resistant finish helps the high-visibility orange and black colourway maintain its clarity over time.

Internally, the garment features a lightweight lining and significant heavyweight filling. This combination creates a thermal barrier that traps heat without restricting the wearer's movement. The inclusion of quilt lining throughout the body and hood ensures consistent warmth, while the overall fit is designed to accommodate layers underneath without becoming restrictive.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The PW3 Hi-Vis Winter Coverall is suitable for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align the garment with your corporate identity. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a professional and permanent finish, ideal for company logos or staff names on the chest area. The dense weave of the Oxford fabric provides an excellent foundation for high-quality stitching.

For larger, more prominent branding on the back, heat-applied printing is a highly effective option. Our in-house team in Telford has been providing expert customisation services since 1976, ensuring that your branding is applied with precision and longevity in mind. We recommend placing logos in areas that do not interfere with the reflective tape or the functionality of the pockets.

Use Cases

This coverall is specifically designed for professionals in sectors such as construction, tree surgery, and electrical engineering. It is equally suited for mechanics working in unheated workshops or security personnel who require high visibility and thermal protection during outdoor patrols. The robust nature of the fabric makes it an excellent choice for any trade where the wearer is exposed to both the cold and abrasive surfaces.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear underneath. As this is a winter coverall with heavyweight padding, it is designed with a generous fit, but choosing your standard size is usually sufficient for most. If you are frequently using the kneepad pockets, ensure the leg length is appropriate to keep the pads correctly positioned during movement.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-visibility properties and the integrity of the waterproof coating, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can degrade the PU coating and damage the reflective tape, which is critical for your safety.

Bleaching must be avoided at all costs, as the chemicals will compromise the fluorescent pigments in the fabric, rendering the hi-vis elements ineffective. Similarly, do not tumble dry this garment; the high heat of a dryer can melt the synthetic fibres and cause the padding to clump. We recommend drip line drying to maintain the garment's shape.

This coverall should not be ironed, as direct heat will damage the double PU coating and the reflective materials. Finally, please note that the garment is rated for a maximum of 50 washes. Beyond this point, the high-visibility performance may fall below safety standards, and the coverall should be inspected for potential replacement.
