Product Overview

The Professional Insulated Baffle Gilet (S606) is a sophisticated and highly functional layer designed for professionals who require warmth without the restriction of a full jacket. Engineered with a stylish baffle design, this gilet serves as an ideal canvas for corporate branding, ensuring your team maintains a unified and professional appearance even in adverse conditions. The combination of a fine-weave microfibre shell and substantial insulation makes it a reliable choice for transitional weather and colder working environments.

Key Features
  • Water-Resistant Finish: The outer fabric is treated to repel moisture, ensuring that light rainfall beads off rather than soaking through, which keeps the wearer dry and comfortable during outdoor tasks.
  • Substantial Insulation: The gilet is filled with high-quality polyester wadding, providing excellent thermal retention to maintain core body temperature in cold conditions.
  • Anti-Static Properties: Both the shell and the lining feature an anti-static finish, which prevents the build-up of static electricity and ensures a smoother fit over other workwear layers.
  • Secure Microfibre Shell: The 300T microfibre construction offers a smooth, professional-looking surface that is both durable and wind-resistant.
  • Titanmill Ultra Lining: Utilising premium nylon lining for a soft feel against the body while ensuring the garment remains robust enough for daily professional use.

Design & Performance

The performance of this gilet is rooted in its material composition. The shell is crafted from a high-density 300T microfibre polyester, which provides a sleek aesthetic while offering practical resistance to wind and light moisture. The internal architecture uses a baffle construction to keep the polyester wadding evenly distributed, preventing cold spots and ensuring consistent warmth across the torso.

Inside, the Titanmill Ultra nylon lining provides a superior finish that glides easily over sweatshirts or fleeces. Despite its substantial insulation, the garment is designed for mobility, allowing for a full range of arm movement which is essential for active trades and site-based work. The anti-static finish is a thoughtful addition, particularly useful for those working in environments where static discharge could be a nuisance or where layering multiple synthetic fabrics is required.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This gilet has been specifically designed with customisation in mind. For a truly professional and traditional finish, we recommend embroidery. It is particularly effective on the chest area, where company logos and staff names can be rendered in high-definition thread, providing a durable and premium look that withstands the rigours of the workplace.

Alternatively, if your branding requires larger, bolder graphics across the back, our high-quality print services are an excellent option. Both processes are managed in-house at our Telford facility by our expert team, who have been perfecting garment customisation since 1976. This ensures your corporate identity is represented with absolute precision and longevity.

Use Cases

The Professional Insulated Baffle Gilet is highly versatile. It is perfectly suited for site managers, surveyors, and delivery drivers who are frequently moving between vehicles and outdoor environments. It also serves as excellent staff uniform for retail or warehouse employees working in cooler conditions, providing warmth while maintaining a sharp, corporate image.

Practical Advice

This gilet is designed as an outer layer. For maximum thermal efficiency, we recommend pairing it with a moisture-wicking base layer and a mid-weight sweatshirt. When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear underneath to ensure a comfortable fit that does not restrict movement.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and professional appearance of your gilet, it is essential to follow the recommended care instructions. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C on a normal process. Exceeding this temperature can damage the synthetic fibres and the thermal wadding, leading to a loss of shape and insulation properties.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment, as harsh chemicals will degrade the water-resistant finish and compromise the integrity of the microfibre shell. This gilet should not be tumble dried; instead, it should be line dried to preserve the loft of the insulation and the structure of the baffles.

Ironing and dry cleaning must be avoided entirely. High heat from an iron can melt the polyester shell and flatten the internal wadding, while dry cleaning chemicals may strip away the essential anti-static and water-resistant treatments that make this gilet so effective in the field.
