Product Overview

The Modaflame Rain+ Hi-Vis Multi-Norm Contrast FR Trousers are a masterclass in protective engineering, designed for those who require more than just standard workwear. These trousers offer a comprehensive solution for environments where multiple safety hazards coexist, including heat, flame, and static. A standout feature of this garment is its exceptional versatility; the back zip-off function allows the bib to be removed entirely, seamlessly converting the item from a bib and brace into standard trousers depending on the demands of your task.

Key Features

  • Versatile 2-in-1 Design: The zip-off back allows for the complete removal of the bib, giving you the flexibility to adapt your attire to changing work conditions or personal comfort.
  • High-Visibility Safety: Equipped with flame-resistant reflective tape, these trousers ensure you remain visible in low-light environments, which is essential for safety on busy industrial sites.
  • Dirt Protection: Contrast panels on the knees and hem are strategically placed to hide dirt and grease, ensuring the garment maintains a professional appearance even after a long shift.
  • Multi-Norm Protection: Designed to meet a variety of stringent safety standards, these trousers provide a unified defence against complex industrial risks.

Design & Performance

The construction of the Modaflame Rain+ trousers prioritises both durability and protection. The shell is crafted from a sophisticated blend of polyester and carbon fibre, bonded to a modacrylic and cotton mix. This substantial, heavyweight fabric provides a robust barrier against the elements while the PU coating ensures reliable waterproof performance. The inclusion of carbon fibre is a technical necessity, providing the anti-static properties required in sensitive environments.

Internally, the garment features a flame-resistant lining made from pure cotton. This medium-weight lining ensures that while the exterior is tough and protective, the interior remains comfortable and breathable against the skin, reducing the risk of heat fatigue during intensive physical activity.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Ensuring your team looks professional while staying safe is a core part of what we do. These Modaflame trousers are well-suited for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is the preferred choice for company logos and individual names, providing a durable, high-quality finish that can withstand the heavy-duty use these trousers are built for. For larger, more vibrant branding, our printing processes offer excellent clarity.

Our in-house team in Telford has been perfecting these techniques since 1976. We handle every stage of the customisation process to ensure that the application of your brand does not interfere with the garment's protective certifications or technical performance.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for professionals in high-risk sectors such as the petrochemical industry, electrical engineering, and utility maintenance. It is an ideal choice for site supervisors and technicians who work in environments where flame resistance, anti-static properties, and high visibility are non-negotiable safety requirements.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been a trusted partner for businesses across the UK. Operating from our specialised facility in Telford, we bring decades of expertise to every garment we handle. We understand the technical nuances of safety wear, ensuring that your customisation is handled with the same level of care and precision as the manufacturing of the garment itself.

Practical Advice

Given the multi-layered and substantial nature of the Modaflame Rain+ fabric, these trousers are designed with a regular fit to facilitate movement. If you intend to wear them over bulky thermal layers in extreme cold, you may wish to consider this when selecting your size. The removable bib is an excellent tool for temperature regulation; we suggest keeping it attached during wet or windy conditions for maximum coverage and removing it during lighter duties to improve airflow.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the technical integrity of safety garments is vital for continued protection. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a mild process. Standardising the wash temperature ensures the PU coating and the flame-resistant bonds of the fabric are not compromised by excessive heat.

It is imperative that you do not use bleach, as these chemicals will degrade the technical fibres and strip the garment of its flame-resistant properties. Similarly, do not tumble dry this product. Drip line drying is the safest method to ensure the garment retains its shape and the reflective tape remains securely bonded.

Finally, do not iron or dry clean these trousers. The high heat of an iron or the aggressive chemicals used in dry cleaning can damage the internal structure of the Modaflame fabric, potentially reducing its effectiveness as a piece of protective equipment.
