It is a no-nonsense garment designed to work as hard as you do.

- Highly durable construction, designed to withstand the daily abrasion of outdoor work.
Design & Performance
The jacket is constructed from Kingsmill Polycotton, a blend of 80% polyester and 20% cotton. This specific composition is chosen for its performance characteristics: the polyester provides exceptional colour retention and strength, while the cotton ensures the fabric remains breathable during physical exertion. This medium-weight material ensures the jacket is substantial enough to protect against the elements while remaining flexible enough for movement. It is a garment that feels well-engineered and solid, providing a level of reassurance when working in proximity to heavy machinery or traffic.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
At MyWorkwear, we understand that your uniform is your calling card. This bomber jacket is ideally suited for both print and embroidery. Our in-house team, established in 1976 and based in Telford, manages every aspect of the process to ensure a superior finish.
For a truly professional appearance, we recommend embroidery for your company logo or staff names. It provides a textured, high-quality finish that withstands repeated laundering. Alternatively, if you require large, bold branding that needs to be seen from a distance, our high-definition print service is an excellent choice. Both methods are applied with precision to ensure they do not compromise the jacket's safety certifications.
Use Cases
This jacket is primarily designed for high-risk environments. It is the standard-issue choice for railway workers, roadside recovery teams, and construction professionals. Its high-visibility orange colour and reflective tape configuration make it essential for any site where visibility is a legal requirement under EN ISO 20471.

Practical Advice
The bomber jacket style is designed to be worn over standard work attire. If you intend to wear a thick sweatshirt or fleece underneath during the winter months, you may wish to consider your layering requirements when selecting your size. The elasticated elements of the bomber design help to keep the jacket close to the body, which is a useful safety feature to prevent the garment from catching on equipment.
Caring for your product
To maintain the safety performance and life of your hi-vis jacket, it is vital to follow the care instructions provided. Failure to do so can degrade the reflective materials and the fluorescent dye.
A mild wash process at a maximum temperature of 50°C is recommended. Higher temperatures can break down the polyester fibres and cause the reflective tape to peel or lose its luminosity. To ensure longevity, the jacket is limited to a maximum of 50 washes, after which its high-visibility properties may fall below the certified standard.
Do not use bleach under any circumstances. Bleaching agents will destroy the fluorescent orange colour, making the jacket unsafe and non-compliant with RIS 3279 standards.
This garment should not be tumble dried. We recommend drip line drying to prevent heat damage to the synthetic components. If ironing is required, use a maximum temperature of 150°C, and avoid ironing directly over the reflective tape to prevent melting.
Finally, do not dry clean this jacket. The chemicals used in dry cleaning processes are too harsh for the specialised coatings on the fabric and will reduce the effectiveness of your safety equipment.
