Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider what you will be wearing beneath the jacket. If you intend to layer this over a thick sweatshirt or fleece during the winter months, you may find a slightly more generous fit more comfortable. The detachable sleeves are a practical feature for those who find full jackets restrictive during heavy manual lifting.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility performance and waterproof integrity of this jacket, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the PU coating and reduce the effectiveness of the stain-resistant finish.
Bleaching must be avoided at all costs, as harsh chemicals will degrade the polyester fibres and dull the fluorescent orange colour, compromising your safety on site. Similarly, the garment should not be tumble dried; instead, we recommend a drip line dry. High heat from a dryer can warp the reflective tape and shrink the internal quilt lining.
Do not iron this jacket, as direct heat will melt the waterproof coating and synthetic fabrics. Dry cleaning is also not recommended, as the solvents used can strip the protective finishes from the shell fabric. Finally, please note that the garment is rated for a maximum of 50 washes; exceeding this may reduce its high-visibility properties below safety standard requirements.
