Whether facing persistent rain or biting winds, this jacket is built to serve as a reliable shield in professional environments throughout the year.
Key Features
- Certified waterproof and breathable protection to EN343 4.4, ensuring you stay dry and comfortable in severe weather conditions.
- Dynamic stretch fabric allows for enhanced flexibility, making it easier to perform physically demanding tasks without restriction.
- Reinforced elbow panels featuring high-tenacity nylon for superior abrasion resistance in high-wear areas, extending the life of the garment.
- Removable, helmet-compatible hood with a three-point adjustment system for a secure and customisable fit that doesn't hinder visibility.
- Narrow triple stormflap protection over the zip to prevent water ingress during heavy downpours.
Design & Performance
The performance of the EV4 Shell Jacket lies in its sophisticated three-layer construction. By bonding a high-performance membrane between a stretch polyester twill and a soft tricot backing, the garment achieves a balance of weatherproofing and internal moisture management. This ensures that while rain is kept out, perspiration can escape, maintaining a dry internal climate.
The ergonomic profile and raglan sleeve design are intentional, providing an unrestricted range of motion that is essential for active tradespeople. Durability is integrated into the design via heavy-duty Taslan elbow patches, protecting the garment from the typical scuffs and scrapes encountered on-site. The addition of a longer back length and wind cuffs further ensures that heat is retained and the elements are kept at bay, even when reaching or bending.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To ensure your team presents a unified and professional appearance, this jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery. Our expert team in Telford, with decades of experience since 1976, handles all customisation in-house to maintain the highest quality standards.
Embroidery is often the preferred choice for company logos or staff names on the chest, providing a textured, long-lasting, and professional finish that withstands regular wear. For larger, more complex designs or back branding, our high-quality printing services offer a vibrant and bold alternative that stands out clearly on the high-visibility orange and black fabric.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for professionals in construction, civil engineering, and logistics who operate in environments where high visibility is mandatory and weather conditions are unpredictable. Its lightweight but sturdy nature also makes it an excellent choice for supervisors and site managers who require a professional appearance coupled with technical performance.

Practical Advice
Given the jacket's streamlined ergonomic fit, we recommend considering your layering requirements. If you intend to wear a medium-weight fleece or a thick sweatshirt underneath during winter months, you may find a slightly larger size offers greater comfort. The three-point hood adjustment is particularly useful when wearing head protection; take a moment to adjust the toggles to ensure your peripheral vision remains clear.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the technical properties of a three-layer shell jacket is essential to ensure the waterproof membrane and high-visibility properties remain effective for as long as possible.
We recommend a mild process wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Using a harsh cycle or high heat can damage the bonded membrane and degrade the high-visibility colouring. Please note that this garment is certified for a maximum of 25 washes to maintain its safety compliance.
Do not use bleach, as this will compromise the integrity of the polyester fibres and the effectiveness of the fluorescent pigments. The jacket should be line dried only; tumble drying can lead to delamination of the fabric layers. Finally, do not iron or dry clean this garment, as the heat and chemicals involved will permanently damage the protective waterproof membrane.
