Product Overview

The Height Endurance Helmet is a specialised piece of head protection engineered specifically for professionals operating at elevations. By utilising a peakless shell design, this helmet provides the wearer with an unrestricted field of upward vision, which is a critical safety requirement when navigating scaffolding, cranes, or overhead structures. It combines a lightweight profile with substantial impact resistance, ensuring that safety does not come at the expense of comfort during long shifts in demanding environments.

Key Features

  • The peakless shell design allows for a clear line of sight upwards, reducing the need to tilt the head back excessively and potentially compromising balance while working at heights.
  • An unvented ABS shell provides a robust barrier against falling objects and impact while maintaining a compact and streamlined profile suitable for tight spaces.
  • A six-point textile comfort harness distributes the weight of the helmet evenly across the head, significantly reducing pressure points and fatigue.
  • The wheel ratchet adjustment system enables quick and precise sizing between 52cm and 63cm, ensuring a secure and personalised fit even when wearing thermal liners.
  • The Y-style four-point chin strap includes a soft rubber protector to ensure the helmet remains firmly in place during active movement or in the event of a stumble.

Design & Performance

Constructed from high-grade ABS, this helmet is designed to withstand the rigours of a professional worksite while remaining exceptionally lightweight. The unvented nature of the shell provides consistent protection across the entire surface area. Internally, the inclusion of an improved technical sweatband manages moisture effectively, preventing perspiration from interfering with vision. The choice of a six-point textile harness over standard plastic alternatives offers a more flexible, ergonomic fit that adapts to the shape of the wearer’s head for superior stability.

Why No Customisation?

As a critical piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), this helmet is supplied without customisation. Altering the shell through drilling or the application of certain adhesives and inks can compromise the structural integrity of the ABS material. To ensure the product maintains its certified safety ratings and provides the intended level of protection for the user, we provide this item in its original, un-modified state.

Use Cases

This helmet is the primary choice for professionals in the construction and civil engineering sectors, particularly those involved in scaffolding, steel erection, or rigging. Its peakless design also makes it highly suitable for tree surgeons and arborists who require a clear view through the canopy. Additionally, electricians, plumbers, and mechanics working in confined overhead spaces will find the compact, unvented design particularly advantageous for both safety and manoeuvrability.

Why MyWorkwear

Practical Advice

When fitting the helmet, ensure the wheel ratchet is tightened so the helmet remains stable when you lean forward, but not so tight that it causes discomfort or headaches. The 52-63cm range accommodates the vast majority of head sizes. We recommend checking the tension of the four-point chin strap at the start of every shift to ensure the rubber protector is positioned comfortably under the chin, preventing the helmet from shifting during overhead tasks.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and longevity of your helmet, it should be cleaned regularly using warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemical solvents, petrol-based cleaners, or abrasive pads, as these can degrade the ABS shell and weaken the protection it provides. The textile harness and sweatband should be rinsed frequently to prevent salt build-up from perspiration, which can cause skin irritation over time.

Regular inspection is vital for your safety. Check the shell for cracks, deep scratches, or any signs of discolouration that might indicate UV degradation from sun exposure. Similarly, inspect the textile harness for fraying or damage to the attachment points. If the helmet sustains a significant impact or a fall from height, it must be replaced immediately, even if no damage is visible, as the internal structure may have been compromised. Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use to prolong its service life.
