Product Overview
The PA49 4-Point Chin Strap is an essential safety accessory designed specifically for the Height Endurance range of helmets. When working at height or in challenging environments, the stability of your head protection is not a luxury—it is a necessity. This replacement strap ensures that your helmet remains securely positioned, even during vigorous movement or in the event of a stumble. Supplied as a convenient pack of five, these straps allow for immediate replacement of worn or damaged components, ensuring your team remains compliant with safety standards without delay.
Key Features
Four-Point Attachment System: This configuration provides superior stability compared to standard straps, ensuring the helmet stays centered and secure on the head during complex tasks.
Integrated Soft Chin Guard: The inclusion of a soft guard enhances wearer comfort and reduces the risk of skin irritation or chafing during long shifts in demanding conditions.
Durable Nylon Construction: Utilising high-quality nylon, these straps offer excellent tensile strength and resistance to the rigours of daily site work.
Specific Compatibility: These are purpose-built spare parts for the PS53 and PS63 Height Endurance Helmets, ensuring a perfect, safe fit every time.
Pack of Five: Providing a set of five ensures you always have a clean, functional spare on hand, reducing downtime should a strap become soiled or damaged.
Design & Performance
Constructed from a lightweight yet robust nylon webbing, the PA49 chin strap is designed to withstand the physical demands of the construction and utility sectors. The black nylon is resistant to fraying and maintains its structural integrity under tension. The four-point design is engineered to distribute pressure evenly around the jaw and base of the skull, which significantly improves the balance of the helmet. The soft chin guard is a thoughtful addition, providing a comfortable interface between the rugged webbing and the wearer's skin, which is particularly beneficial in hot weather or high-intensity situations.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation, such as printing or embroidery, on this specific item because it is a critical safety component. Applying heat-transfers or puncturing the nylon webbing with embroidery needles would compromise the structural integrity and the safety certification of the strap. To ensure the product performs its life-saving function as intended, it must remain in its original, manufactured state.
Use Cases
This product is indispensable for professionals working at height, including tree surgeons, scaffolders, and high-voltage electricians. It is equally relevant for plumbers, mechanics, and construction workers who require the extra security of a four-point system when working in tight spaces or awkward positions where a standard helmet might otherwise shift or fall.

Practical Advice
Before purchasing, please verify that your current head protection is either the PS53 or PS63 model, as these straps are engineered specifically for those designs. We recommend a daily visual inspection of the strap; if you notice any fraying, tears, or damage to the attachment points, replace the strap immediately using one of the spares from this five-pack to ensure your protection is never compromised.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the cleanliness and integrity of your chin strap is vital for both hygiene and safety. To clean the nylon webbing, use a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid the use of harsh detergents or solvent-based cleaners, as these chemicals can chemically degrade the nylon fibres, potentially causing the strap to fail under load.
Do not attempt to bleach this product. Bleaching agents will weaken the synthetic polymers within the nylon, leading to brittleness and a significantly reduced service life. Furthermore, always allow the straps to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources. Using a tumble dryer or an iron will cause the nylon to melt or warp, rendering the strap unsafe for use and potentially damaging the soft chin guard.
