Product Overview

The Onna by Premier 'Unstoppable' baselayer is a sophisticated addition to any professional uniform, specifically designed to function as a high-performance second skin for those in demanding environments. This long-sleeved garment is engineered to manage the fluctuating temperatures of a busy workplace, providing warmth during the cooler months and moisture-wicking cooling when the pressure rises. Constructed with a significant portion of certified recycled nylon, it reflects a modern approach to workwear that does not compromise on technical capability or environmental responsibility.

Key Features
  • Four-way stretch fabric: This provides an exceptional range of motion, ensuring that the garment moves with you rather than against you during complex physical tasks.
  • Natural peppermint deodorising finish: The inclusion of peppermint extract offers a natural way to maintain freshness throughout long shifts, which is a discreet but vital benefit for healthcare and beauty professionals.
  • Crease-resistant and easycare: Designed for the professional who lacks the time for extensive garment maintenance, the fabric resists wrinkling even after a long day of movement.
  • Seamless body construction: By eliminating side seams and incorporating raglan stitched sleeves, the design minimises potential points of irritation and chafing against the skin.

Design & Performance

The technical composition of this baselayer—a balanced blend of recycled and standard nylon—results in a lightweight yet incredibly durable fabric. The jacquard pattern within the seamless body isn't merely aesthetic; it contributes to the overall breathability of the garment. The crew neck design ensures it sits discreetly beneath a standard tunic or scrub top, while the raglan sleeves allow for unrestricted overhead reaching. This is a performance-led garment that prioritises the wearer's thermal comfort and hygiene, ensuring you remain dry and focused on the task at hand.

Why No Customisation?

We provide this specific baselayer as a non-customised item to ensure its performance as a 'second skin' is never compromised. Because this garment is designed to sit directly against the skin and features significant four-way stretch, the addition of embroidery or heat-applied prints could lead to skin irritation or cause the fabric to puck around the branding. By keeping the surface smooth and uninterrupted, we ensure the garment retains its full elasticity and moisture-wicking properties, providing the maximum possible comfort for the wearer.

Use Cases

While originally designed as an underscrub for medical professionals, its versatility makes it suitable for various health and beauty roles. It is an ideal base layer for veterinary staff, dental technicians, or spa therapists who require a professional appearance with the added benefit of high-performance moisture management. It is also an excellent choice for any indoor professional who finds themselves transitioning between refrigerated environments and heated workspaces.

Practical Advice

To achieve the intended 'second skin' effect, we recommend selecting your size based on our detailed fit guide. This garment is designed to be form-fitting to effectively wick perspiration away from the body. If you prefer a slightly more relaxed fit for wear as a standalone top, you may wish to consider sizing up. When layering, ensure your outer tunic allows for the slight added bulk of a long-sleeved layer to maintain full mobility in the arms.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance characteristics of this baselayer, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove perspiration and oils while preserving the integrity of the synthetic fibres and the peppermint deodorising finish. Avoid using bleach, as harsh chemical oxidisers will degrade the nylon fibres and cause the garment to lose its shape and elasticity over time.

The garment can be tumble dried on a low setting, which helps the four-way stretch fibres return to their original tension. If ironing is required, use a low heat setting; however, the crease-resistant nature of the fabric usually makes ironing unnecessary if the garment is hung promptly after drying. We strongly advise against dry cleaning, as the solvents used can strip the technical finishes from the fabric, reducing its breathability and comfort.
