Product Overview

The P203WHR FFP2 Valved Dolomite Respirator is a high-specification solution for professionals requiring reliable respiratory protection in demanding work environments. Sold in a convenient pack of 10, these cup-shaped respirators are engineered to provide a secure fit while ensuring the wearer remains comfortable throughout their shift. This model is particularly noted for its breathability and its ability to withstand high levels of dust without compromising performance.

Key Features

  • Exhalation Valve: The integrated valve allows for significantly lighter breathing resistance by permitting heat and moisture to escape more easily, which reduces the risk of wearer fatigue.
  • Dolomite Clogging Test (D): This respirator has passed the optional Dolomite test, proving its ability to maintain filtration efficiency and breathability even in exceptionally dusty conditions.
  • Adjustable Nose Clip: The flexible nose clip allows the wearer to create a bespoke, contoured fit around the bridge of the nose, which is essential for ensuring a proper seal and preventing leakage.
  • FFP2 Protection Level: Certified to EN 149:2001 +A1:2009, this respirator provides effective protection against moderate levels of fine dust and mists.

Design & Performance

Constructed with a primary filter layer of Polypropylene (PP) and featuring PU Foam for the internal seal, the P203WHR is designed for both durability and comfort. The classic cup shape is structurally robust, maintaining its form even in humid conditions, which prevents the mask from collapsing against the face during inhalation. The lightweight nature of the materials ensures that the respirator does not feel cumbersome, even during prolonged use. Performance is further enhanced by the valve design, which is particularly effective at keeping the internal temperature of the mask lower, making it a sensible choice for those working in warmer environments or performing strenuous physical tasks.

Why No Customisation?

Because this product is classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for respiratory safety, we do not offer any customisation, such as printing or embroidery. Any alteration to the mask's surface could puncture the filter media or interfere with the seal, which would compromise the safety rating and leave the user vulnerable to inhalation risks. We believe that your safety should always be the priority.

Use Cases

This respirator is a versatile tool for various trades. It is highly recommended for carpenters, construction workers, and plumbers who frequently work in dusty environments. Its FFP2 rating also makes it suitable for use in chemical handling, tree surgery, welding, and by painters and decorators. Furthermore, it is appropriate for use in clinical or veterinary settings where respiratory protection against airborne particles is mandated.

Practical Advice

To achieve the maximum level of protection, it is vital that the mask is fitted correctly. We recommend that the wearer is clean-shaven to ensure the respirator can form an airtight seal against the skin. When fitting, use both hands to shape the nose clip firmly against the bridge of the nose. It is also advisable to check the seal by sharply exhaling; if air escapes around the edges, the straps or nose clip should be adjusted.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the integrity of a disposable respirator is vital for your safety. These masks are designed for single-shift use. Attempting to clean or reuse a disposable respirator can damage the fine fibers of the filter material and cause the elastic straps to lose tension, rendering the mask ineffective against hazardous particles.

Store your respirators in their original, sealed packaging in a dry environment. Exposure to moisture, extreme heat, or chemicals before use can degrade the Polypropylene and PU foam components. If a respirator becomes damp, damaged, or you find it increasingly difficult to breathe through while working, it must be replaced immediately to ensure continued protection.
