Portwest EV4 Hi-Vis Softshell Bomber (3L)

Product Overview

The Portwest EV4 Hi-Vis Softshell Bomber (3L) is a sophisticated piece of workwear designed for those who require both high visibility and robust weather protection. Constructed with a three-layer softshell fabric, this jacket offers a modern silhouette without sacrificing the utility demanded by a busy site. It provides a professional appearance while ensuring you remain seen and shielded from the elements, regardless of the weather conditions.

Key Features

• 3-Layer Softshell Fabric: This triple-layer construction acts as a barrier against wind and light rain while maintaining breathability, ensuring you stay dry and comfortable throughout the working day.
• High-Visibility Standards: Available in fluorescent Orange or Yellow with contrasting Black panels, this garment ensures you meet safety requirements in low-light or hazardous environments.
• Bomber Jacket Styling: This design provides a secure fit at the waist and cuffs, which helps to prevent drafts and offers a more contemporary, streamlined look than traditional work jackets.
• Unisex Fit: The design is engineered to accommodate a wide range of body types, making it a versatile and practical choice for equipping entire workforces.

Design & Performance

This jacket is crafted from a substantial, heavyweight polyester blend that feels both sturdy and flexible. The "3L" designation refers to its three-layer technology, which works hard to keep external moisture at bay while allowing internal heat to regulate. The substantial weight of the fabric provides a layer of warmth and a feeling of quality that less robust garments simply cannot match. It is engineered to endure the rigours of daily wear, featuring high-quality finishes and reinforced construction that ensure it remains a reliable part of your uniform for the long term.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This item is available with both print and embroidery customisation to suit your branding needs. Embroidery delivers a textured, premium appearance that is ideal for company logos and individual names; it is particularly durable and stands up to repeated washing without losing its professional finish. For those requiring larger, bolder designs or a broader range of colours, our printing service provides an excellent alternative. All customisation is handled in-house by our expert team in Telford, who have been perfecting their craft since 1976.

Use Cases

This bomber jacket is an excellent choice for site managers, engineers, and logistics professionals who transition between the office and the field. It is equally suited for construction environments, roadworks, or any role where high visibility and weather resistance are paramount for safety and comfort.

Practical Advice

The bomber style naturally offers a slightly closer fit at the hem. If you intend to wear several layers, such as a thick sweatshirt or jumper underneath, you may wish to consider the size range from Small up to 3XL to ensure ease of movement. The polyester blend offers a slight stretch, but choosing the correct size is key to maintaining the jacket's thermal properties.

Caring for your product

To ensure your jacket continues to perform at its best and maintains its high-visibility certification, regular and careful maintenance is essential. Keeping the fabric clean ensures that the reflective elements and bright colours remain effective at keeping you safe on the job.

We recommend following the specific instructions on the internal care label to prevent the breakdown of the technical layers. Proper laundering ensures the polyester blend retains its shape and protective qualities. Avoiding harsh chemicals will help preserve both the fabric's integrity and the vibrancy of your customised branding for longer.
