Product Overview

The ERGONET FFP3 Valved Dolomite Respirator is a high-specification solution for professionals operating in environments where fine dusts, fumes, and water-based mists are present. Designed with a focus on both safety and wearer comfort, this lightweight respirator offers the highest level of disposable respiratory protection. The inclusion of a high-performance exhalation valve ensures that even during strenuous activity, the internal environment of the mask remains manageable, preventing the buildup of heat and moisture that often plagues standard disposable masks.

Key Features

  • FFP3 Level Filtration: This provides the highest level of protection against hazardous solid and liquid aerosols, ensuring your lungs are shielded from harmful microscopic particles.
  • High-Performance Exhalation Valve: The valve is engineered to reduce breathing resistance and heat buildup, which is essential for maintaining focus and comfort during long shifts in demanding conditions.
  • Dolomite Clogging Test (D): Passing the optional Dolomite test means this respirator can provide a more comfortable breathing experience for a longer duration, even in very dusty environments.
  • Moulded Nose Bridge: This feature ensures an excellent fit across a wide range of face shapes, reducing the risk of air bypassing the filter and providing a more reliable seal.
  • All-Round Foam Gasket: The internal foam gasket enhances the seal against the face and adds a layer of cushioning, which is vital for preventing skin irritation during extended wear.
  • Wide Adjustable Elastic Straps: These allow for a customisable and secure fit, ensuring the mask stays in place without causing excessive pressure behind the ears or on the back of the head.

Design & Performance

Constructed primarily from Polypropylene (PP) with an EVA foam gasket, the ERGONET is built to maintain its shape under pressure. The innovative soft outer net cover is not merely aesthetic; it serves as a protective layer that helps the mask retain its ergonomic structure, preventing collapse even when damp or heavily used. This structural integrity is critical for maintaining the necessary internal volume for easy breathing.

The performance in hot and humid conditions is particularly noteworthy. By facilitating efficient moisture expulsion through the valve, the mask helps to keep the wearer's face cooler and drier than non-valved alternatives. This makes it an ideal choice for intense manual labour where respiratory protection cannot be compromised.

Why No Customisation?

This respirator is a critical piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) certified to EN 149 standards. We do not offer customisation, such as printing or embroidery, on this item because any modification to the fabric or structure could compromise the filtration efficiency and the integrity of the seal. Safety standards are paramount, and maintaining the mask's original, tested state is the only way to ensure it provides the documented level of protection.

Use Cases

This FFP3 respirator is suited for a wide variety of professional trades. It is a necessary staple for carpenters dealing with hardwood dust, welders exposed to metal fumes, and construction workers handling silica-rich materials. It is also highly effective for healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and dental staff, where high-level filtration is required. Additionally, it provides reliable protection for those in chemical handling, veterinary medicine, and professional cleaning roles.

Practical Advice

For any respirator to be effective, a proper seal is mandatory. We recommend that all users undergo a professional face-fit test before use. Please ensure you are clean-shaven in the areas where the mask contacts the skin, as facial hair will prevent a secure seal and allow unfiltered air to enter the lungs. When layering with other PPE, such as safety goggles, ensure the mask is fitted first to maintain the integrity of the nose bridge seal.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance of your ERGONET respirator, it is important to treat it as a single-use, non-reusable item (NR). Once the mask becomes soiled, damaged, or breathing resistance becomes noticeably higher, it must be disposed of and replaced. Attempting to clean the mask will damage the electrostatic properties of the filter material.

Do not attempt to wash this respirator in a domestic or industrial machine. Doing so will completely destroy the filtration structure and compromise the materials, rendering it useless for safety purposes.

Never use bleach or chemical cleaners on the mask. These substances will not only degrade the PP and EVA foam materials but could also leave harmful residues that would be inhaled by the wearer. Similarly, do not iron or tumble dry the respirator, as the high heat will melt the fine synthetic fibres and the exhalation valve mechanism.
