Product Overview
The Endurance Glowtex Helmet is a sophisticated piece of personal protective equipment designed for professionals who operate in environments where light levels are inconsistent or non-existent. Finished in a clean white, this helmet's standout feature is its photo-luminescent ABS shell. This material is engineered to accumulate light energy in well-lit areas and release it as a glowing effect when the user moves into darkness. This ensures that you remain visible to colleagues even in the event of a total light failure, adding a critical layer of safety to your workwear ensemble.
Key Features
Photo-luminescent Shell: The ABS material incorporates a special additive that glows in the dark, significantly enhancing wearer visibility in low-light conditions without the need for external power sources.
6-Point Textile Harness: This internal suspension system is designed to cradle the head securely while distributing weight evenly, which helps to prevent fatigue during long shifts.
Wheel Ratchet Adjustment: The easy-to-use ratchet system allows for precise sizing adjustments between 56cm and 63cm, ensuring a stable and comfortable fit for a wide range of head shapes.
4-Point Chin Strap Included: To ensure the helmet remains in place during active movement or accidental falls, a dedicated chin strap is provided as standard.
Design & Performance
The performance of this helmet is rooted in its high-quality ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) construction. ABS is favoured in safety equipment for its excellent impact resistance and structural rigidity. While the shell is sturdy and substantial enough to provide reliable protection against falling objects, it remains comfortable for extended wear. The transition between light and dark is where the performance truly shines; the Glowtex technology provides a reliable luminant effect that does not wear off like temporary coatings. The textile harness also offers superior comfort compared to standard plastic versions, as it allows for better airflow and a softer contact point against the scalp.
Why No Customisation?
At MyWorkwear, we prioritise your safety above all else. We do not offer customisation services such as printing or embroidery on this specific helmet. Applying adhesives, heat-transfers, or paints can potentially compromise the structural integrity of the ABS shell or interfere with the photo-luminescent additive's ability to absorb and release light. To ensure the product maintains its certified safety standards and performs exactly as intended in hazardous environments, it is supplied in its original, unadulterated form.
Use Cases
This helmet is specifically suited for professionals working in construction, plumbing, and electrical trades. Its glow-in-the-dark properties make it an exceptional choice for those working in confined spaces, tunnels, or during night-time maintenance operations. Mechanics and tree surgeons, who often find themselves in shadowed or complex environments, will also benefit from the increased visibility and secure fit provided by the 6-point harness and chin strap.

MyWorkwear has been a trusted name in the industry since 1976. Based in Telford, we bring decades of technical expertise to every product we stock. We understand the rigorous demands of the modern workplace and ensure that our safety equipment meets the high standards our customers have come to expect over the last forty-plus years.
Practical Advice
To achieve the safest fit, adjust the wheel ratchet so the helmet is snug but not tight enough to cause discomfort. The helmet should not move when you shake your head. If you require additional warmth, ensure any thermal liners used are specifically designed for use with safety helmets to prevent them from interfering with the harness's ability to protect your head from impact.
Caring for your product
To ensure your helmet continues to glow effectively and protect you from impacts, it must be kept clean. Dust and grease can coat the shell, preventing the photo-luminescent additive from 'charging' properly. We recommend cleaning the shell with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Avoid using any solvent-based cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can react with the ABS plastic, making it brittle and significantly reducing its protective capabilities.
Store your helmet in a cool, dry place when not in use and avoid leaving it in direct sunlight, such as on a vehicle dashboard. Long-term exposure to UV rays can degrade the plastic over time. It is also important to inspect the helmet regularly for any signs of cracking or stress marks; if the helmet sustains a significant impact, it should be replaced immediately, even if no damage is visible to the naked eye.
