Product Overview
The PA58BKR Helmet Winter Liner is a technical necessity for any professional working in exposed or unheated environments. Designed to provide a critical thermal barrier, this liner integrates directly into your existing head protection, ensuring that safety and warmth are not mutually exclusive. By providing an insulating layer between the wearer and the helmet shell, it helps maintain focus and comfort during the coldest months of the UK winter.
Key Features
- Universal Compatibility: This liner is engineered to fit most standard safety helmets, making it a versatile addition to any worker's gear bag regardless of their specific helmet brand.
- Secure Hook & Loop Attachment: The inclusion of four dedicated straps ensures the liner remains firmly attached to the helmet's internal suspension, preventing shifting or bunching during active use.
- Chin Strap Accommodation: The thoughtful design allows for the continued use of a chin strap, ensuring that your helmet’s primary retention system remains fully operational for safety compliance.
- Cotton and Polyester Blend: The material choice provides a balance of natural breathability and synthetic durability, offering efficient heat retention while remaining comfortable against the skin.
Design & Performance
The design of the PA58BKR focuses on a low-profile fit that does not interfere with the protective capabilities of the helmet. The lightweight fabric blend is substantial enough to trap warmth but thin enough to avoid disrupting the fit of the helmet's cradle. This ensures that the helmet continues to sit at the correct height and orientation on the head.
Performance-wise, the liner is built to withstand the rigours of daily site work. The black fabric is practical for industrial settings, and the robust hook-and-loop system is designed for repeated use, allowing the liner to be easily removed or reattached as the weather dictates.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation for the PA58BKR Helmet Winter Liner because it is a functional PPE accessory worn inside the helmet. Any embroidery or print could compromise the fit of the helmet or cause irritation to the wearer's head. Furthermore, as the item is worn internally, any branding would be obscured by the helmet shell, serving no visibility or identification purpose.
Use Cases
This product is ideal for tradespeople in the construction, utility, and arboricultural sectors. Whether you are an electrician on a draughty new-build site or a tree surgeon working in sub-zero temperatures, this liner provides the necessary insulation to keep you working safely and comfortably.

Practical Advice
When installing the liner, ensure the four straps are fastened securely around the helmet harness. Check that the liner is sitting flat against the inside of the shell to maintain the required safety clearance between the cradle and the helmet. If you find the fit of your helmet is too tight after installation, you may need to adjust the ratchet or slip-fit system on the helmet's harness to compensate for the additional layer.
Caring for your product
To maintain the insulating efficiency of the cotton and polyester fibres, it is important to keep the liner clean and free from debris. Regular washing helps to remove sweat and oils that can flatten the fabric and reduce its thermal properties over time.
We recommend a domestic wash to keep the material fresh. Always ensure the hook-and-loop straps are fastened during washing to prevent them from snagging on other items or accumulating lint, which can reduce their adhesive strength. Air drying is recommended to maintain the shape and structural integrity of the attachment points.
