Product Overview
The Classic Iona Rain Jacket is a well-engineered solution for professionals who require a lightweight barrier against the elements without sacrificing visibility. Constructed from a durable polyester fabric with a waterproof coating, this jacket provides essential protection during inclement weather. It is designed to be highly practical, offering a balance between functional storage and user comfort, ensuring you remain dry and visible on-site.
Key Features
- Pack-away hood provides immediate protection from sudden downpours and can be neatly stowed when not in use to prevent snagging.
- Adjustable drawcord hem allows the wearer to create a secure seal, preventing wind and rain from entering the garment.
- Large storage pockets offer ample space for essential tools or personal items, keeping them accessible yet protected.
- Vented back yoke and eyelets facilitate airflow, reducing the build-up of moisture inside the jacket during physical activity.
- PVC coated finish ensures the fabric remains waterproof, keeping the wearer dry in challenging conditions.
Design & Performance
This jacket is crafted from a 190T plain weave 100% polyester fabric. The lightweight nature of the material makes it an excellent choice for layering, providing waterproof security without the bulk of a heavy winter coat. The PVC coating is specifically applied to provide a robust waterproof barrier, while the inclusion of venting eyelets and a back yoke ensures that breathability is maintained, preventing the 'greenhouse effect' often found in lesser rainwear.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Classic Iona Rain Jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your team's appearance with your brand identity. Embroidery is recommended for chest-positioned logos or staff names, providing a durable and professional appearance. For larger, more impactful branding on the back of the jacket, our high-quality printing process is the ideal choice. All customisation is performed by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on decades of technical experience to ensure a superior finish.
Use Cases
This garment is specifically designed for workers in the construction, logistics, and maintenance sectors who operate in outdoor environments. Its enhanced visibility features make it appropriate for sites where being seen is a safety requirement, while its lightweight construction is perfect for transit drivers or supervisors who need quick protection from the rain.

Practical Advice
As this is a lightweight rain jacket, we recommend sizing it to fit over your usual work layers, such as a sweatshirt or fleece. This ensures you maintain full range of motion while staying dry. The pack-away hood is a particularly useful feature for those who frequently move between indoor and outdoor environments.
Caring for your product
To maintain the waterproof integrity and professional appearance of your jacket, it is essential to follow the care instructions provided. A mild domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C is recommended to remove dirt without damaging the PVC coating.
Do not use bleach, as these harsh chemicals will degrade the polyester fibres and strip away the waterproof finish. Similarly, do not tumble dry this garment; the high heat of a dryer can melt the PVC coating and cause the fabric to warp. For the same reason, the jacket must not be ironed.
Dry cleaning should be avoided, as the solvents used in the process are too aggressive for the waterproof treatment. By following these simple steps, you ensure the garment remains functional and your custom branding stays vibrant for as long as possible.
