Product Overview
The Chef's Cotton Mesh Air Pro Stretch Trousers represent a sophisticated approach to culinary workwear, prioritising both physical ease and thermal regulation. Constructed from high-quality 100% cotton, these trousers are designed to withstand the intense heat and fast-paced nature of a professional kitchen. The integration of advanced mesh technology and stretch panelling addresses the specific ergonomic needs of chefs, providing a garment that moves with the wearer rather than against them.
Key Features
- Kingsmill Cotton Construction: This 100% cotton fabric uses long staple fibres to provide superior strength and pilling resistance, ensuring the trousers remain in excellent condition despite frequent use.
- MeshAir Pro Back Knee Panel: Strategically placed polyester mesh allows for increased airflow in high-heat zones, significantly improving wearer comfort during long shifts.
- Integrated Stretch Panelling: The inclusion of a polycotton stretch blend in key areas facilitates a greater range of motion, essential for the dynamic movements required in a busy kitchen.
- Comprehensive Storage Solutions: Multiple pockets are included for the secure and accessible storage of mobile phones, pens, and essential kitchen tools.
- Reinforced Crotch Gusset: This design feature improves flexibility and reduces the risk of seam failure, extending the overall lifespan of the garment.
Design & Performance
The performance of these trousers is rooted in the quality of the Kingsmill cotton fabric, which is fully pre-shrunk to prevent unwanted changes in fit after laundering. The medium-weight fabric offers excellent dye retention, ensuring the professional black finish remains vibrant. The design thoughtfully balances the natural breathability of cotton with the technical advantages of MeshAir Pro technology. By placing the mesh at the back of the knee, the garment targets one of the primary areas for heat accumulation, helping to keep the professional cool when the pressure is on.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
For a truly professional kitchen uniform, embroidery is the preferred choice for these trousers. Our Telford-based team, established in 1976, can apply high-definition logos or staff names that will endure the rigorous washing cycles common in the food industry. Alternatively, print customisation is available for those requiring larger, more prominent branding for events or catering staff. Both processes are managed in-house at MyWorkwear to ensure a superior finish that reflects your brand's standards.
Use Cases
These trousers are specifically engineered for professionals within the food industry, including chefs, bakers, and butchers. They are also highly suitable for catering staff and front-of-house personnel in bars and restaurants who require a combination of smart appearance and practical functionality. The black colour and durable construction make them an essential piece of equipment for any high-volume culinary environment.

Practical Advice
To fully benefit from the breathable MeshAir panels, we recommend pairing these trousers with a high-quality cotton chef jacket. This creates a uniform system that promotes airflow across the body. When selecting your size, please note that the stretch panelling and crotch gusset allow for a more active fit, so ensuring the correct waist and length measurement is key to maintaining full mobility.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and colour of your trousers, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. This temperature is effective for removing kitchen residues while protecting the cotton fibres.
You must avoid the use of bleach, as this will weaken the natural fibres and lead to premature fading of the fabric. Similarly, these trousers should not be tumble dried. Line drying in the shade is the best method to preserve the fit and prevent UV-related damage to the black dye.
When ironing, please use a maximum temperature of 150°C. If your garment features custom branding, ensure you iron on the reverse to protect the print or embroidery. For deep cleaning, these trousers are suitable for professional dry cleaning using tetrachloroethene under a normal process.
