Product Overview

The Bizflame Work Hi-Vis Multi-Norm Contrast FR Jacket is a sophisticated piece of protective equipment designed for those working in high-risk industrial environments. Engineered using the innovative Bizflame Multi fabric, this jacket is not merely a high-visibility garment but a comprehensive shield against multiple workplace hazards. It offers certified protection against heat, fire, chemical splashes, electrical arcs, and welding sparks, ensuring that safety standards are met without compromising on the wearer's comfort during long shifts.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To ensure your team presents a professional appearance while remaining safe, this jacket is fully compatible with both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or staff names, as the high-stitch density provides a durable and superior finish that withstands the rigours of industrial laundering. For larger, high-impact branding or safety instructions on the back of the garment, our technical print processes ensure bold visibility. Our in-house team, based in Telford and established in 1976, manages the entire customisation process to ensure your branding does not compromise the flame-resistant properties of the fabric.

Key Features
  • Twin-Stitched Hi-Vis Strips: Located on the chest, arms, and shoulders, these strips are double-stitched for enhanced durability, ensuring you remain visible in low-light conditions even after extensive wear.
  • Concealed 2-Way Front Brass Zip: The heavy-duty brass zip provides a secure closure and allows for quick removal or adjustment from the top or bottom, while the concealment flap prevents the zip from catching or conducting heat.
  • Concealed Front Chest Pockets: Featuring decorative piping detail, these pockets provide secure storage for essential tools or documents while maintaining a streamlined, snag-free profile.
  • Multi-Norm Protection: Designed to protect against fire, chemicals, and electrical arcs, reducing the need for multiple different garments for different tasks.

Design & Performance

The jacket is constructed from a substantial fabric blend consisting of 99% cotton and 1% carbon fibre. This specific composition is intentional; the high cotton content ensures the garment remains breathable and comfortable against the skin, while the integrated carbon fibre provides essential anti-static properties and protection against electrical arcs. The fabric is a heavy-weight material, providing a sturdy and protective feel that is necessary for welding and heavy industrial work. The contrast design in Yellow and Navy not only aids in visibility but also helps to mask dirt in high-contact areas, keeping the garment looking professional for longer.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically designed for professionals working in the petrochemical industry, electrical engineering, and heavy-duty welding sectors. It is the ideal choice for environments where the risk of flash fire or chemical exposure is a constant consideration. Because it meets multiple safety norms, it is a versatile solution for site managers and contractors who move between different high-risk zones.

Practical Advice

Given the substantial nature of the Bizflame fabric, we recommend choosing your usual size for a standard fit. If you intend to wear this jacket over thick thermal layers or a sweatshirt during winter months, you may wish to consider a size larger to ensure full range of motion while working.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the protective qualities of this jacket is essential for your safety. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C using a normal process. Washing at this temperature ensures that industrial contaminants and oils are effectively removed without damaging the flame-resistant treatment of the cotton fibres.

Do not use bleach when laundering this garment. Bleaching agents will chemically break down the flame-resistant properties and weaken the cotton fibres, significantly reducing the protective lifespan of the jacket.

This jacket should not be tumble dried. To maintain the structural integrity of the garment and prevent excessive shrinkage of the natural cotton fibres, it is best to air dry the item away from direct heat sources.

If ironing is required, use a maximum sole-plate temperature of 150°C. Excessive heat can damage the high-visibility strips and the carbon fibre components, so care should be taken to avoid the reflective areas. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the chemical solvents used in the process can strip the fabric of its multi-norm protective coatings.
