Product Overview
The Bizflame Work FR Trousers are a robust solution for professionals requiring flame-resistant protection without sacrificing comfort. Constructed from a specialised Bizflame Work fabric, these trousers blend the natural breathability of cotton with carbon fibre to provide essential antistatic properties. The design prioritises longevity in demanding environments, featuring double-stitched reflective tape and a triple-stitched seam construction that ensures the garment remains intact under significant mechanical stress.
Key Features
- Triple Stitched Seams: Reinforced stitching across high-stress areas prevents seam failure, significantly extending the lifespan of the garment in industrial settings.
- High Visibility Reflective Tape: Double-stitched for added security, these strips enhance worker visibility in low-light conditions, providing an extra layer of safety.
- Knee Pad Pockets: Designed to accommodate internal knee pads, these pockets allow for essential joint protection when working on hard surfaces.
- Integrated Ruler Pocket: Provides a dedicated space for essential tools, ensuring they are easily accessible while keeping hands free.
- Brass Zip Front Fly: A durable brass zip offers a secure and heat-resistant fastening compared to standard plastic alternatives.
- Adjustable Bottom Leg Opening: Allows for a customisable fit around various types of footwear, preventing the hem from catching or dragging.
Design & Performance
Engineered with a substantial, heavyweight fabric, the Bizflame Work trousers provide a sturdy barrier suitable for heavy-duty applications. The 99% cotton composition ensures the wearer remains comfortable during long shifts, facilitating moisture wicking and airflow. The addition of 1% carbon fibre is a technical necessity, providing the antistatic performance required in high-risk environments. The fit is generous and practical, allowing for a full range of movement without the fabric binding or restricting the user.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To maintain a professional appearance across your workforce, these trousers are suitable for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or staff names, as it provides a resilient and high-quality finish that withstands industrial laundering. For larger, more vibrant branding, our heat-applied print options are available. All customisation is managed in-house at our Telford facility by our expert team, who have been perfecting workwear branding since 1976.
Use Cases
These trousers are specifically designed for individuals working in industries where flame resistance and antistatic protection are paramount. This includes professionals in the petrochemical, utility, and heavy engineering sectors. They are equally suited for site managers and tradespeople who require a durable, high-visibility trouser that meets rigorous safety standards while maintaining a professional look.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider the layering you may require underneath during colder months. As these trousers feature an adjustable bottom leg opening, ensure they are secured properly over your safety boots to prevent any trip hazards. If using knee pads, ensure they are correctly seated within the internal pockets before commencing work to guarantee maximum ergonomic benefit.
Caring for your product
To ensure the continued performance of the flame-resistant properties and the longevity of the fabric, proper maintenance is essential. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Washing at higher temperatures may compromise the structural integrity of the cotton fibres and the adhesive used for reflective elements.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents will cause the fabric to degrade and can strip the flame-resistant treatment, rendering the trousers unsafe for use in hazardous environments.
Tumble drying should be performed on a low heat setting. High-heat drying can lead to excessive shrinkage and may damage the carbon fibre weave. When ironing, do not exceed a temperature of 150°C to avoid scorching the fabric.
Do not dry clean this product. The chemical solvents used in dry cleaning can interfere with the protective finishes of the Bizflame fabric, potentially reducing its effectiveness against heat and flame.
