Product Overview
The Base Kaptiv K-Flick S3S is a technically advanced low safety shoe designed for those who require high-level protection without sacrificing musculoskeletal health. Part of the innovative Kaptiv collection, this footwear integrates the i-daptive system, an intelligent technology that adapts to the foot for a dynamic comfort experience. Constructed with a Nabuk leather upper and a suite of specialised safety features, it meets the rigorous EN ISO 20345:2022 standards, making it a reliable choice for demanding professional environments.
Key Features
- Aluminium Toe-Cap: Provides 200 joules of impact resistance, ensuring your feet are shielded from heavy falling objects while remaining lighter than traditional steel alternatives.
- i-daptive System: An intelligent technology that cushions impact, dissipates energy, and stabilises the foot, reducing the risk of trauma and dislocations on uneven surfaces.
- Fresh'n Flex Puncture Resistance: A non-metallic fabric insole protects against sharp objects like nails (up to 3mm) without the stiffness of metal plates.
- ESD Protection: Designed to prevent the build-up of static electricity, protecting sensitive electronic components and devices from electrostatic discharge.
- HRO Heat Resistance: The outsole is capable of withstanding contact heat up to 300°C for one minute, essential for high-temperature work zones.
- SmellStop Lining: An antibacterial treatment that prevents the growth of odour-causing bacteria, keeping the interior hygienic during long shifts.
Design & Performance
The K-Flick is engineered for durability and breathability. The Nabuk leather upper provides a robust barrier against water penetration while maintaining high vapour permeability to keep feet dry from the inside out. Performance is further enhanced by the double-density PU/rubber outsole, which offers exceptional slip resistance (SR) on both ceramic and glycerin surfaces, as well as being resistant to fuel and oils.
Internal comfort is managed by the Comfort Cube footbed and the SmellStop lining. These work in tandem with the shoe's cold insulation (CI) properties, which protect feet from temperatures as low as -17°C, ensuring efficiency in diverse climates. The shoe is also vegan-friendly, catering to modern ethical requirements without compromising on technical performance.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation on safety footwear such as the K-Flick. This is to ensure the structural integrity and safety certifications of the product remain intact. Any modification to the upper, such as embroidery or heat-applied transfers, could potentially compromise the water resistance or the fire-retardant properties of the materials, and may invalidate the EN ISO safety rating.
Use Cases
This footwear is ideally suited for professionals working in electronics manufacturing, automotive industries, and light construction where ESD protection and puncture resistance are mandatory. Its heat-resistant sole also makes it appropriate for environments where brief contact with hot surfaces is expected, such as certain workshop or maintenance roles.

Practical Advice
The K-Flick is available in specific widths for different sizes, with a 10.5 width for women and a 12 width for men, ensuring a more ergonomic fit for all workers. When first wearing these shoes, ensure they are laced securely to allow the i-daptive system to properly align with your gait. We recommend wearing moisture-wicking socks to maximise the effectiveness of the SmellStop lining.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high performance of the Nabuk leather, it is important to regularly remove dirt and debris with a soft brush or damp cloth. Allowing mud to dry on the surface can draw moisture out of the leather, leading to cracking over time.
Avoid drying your shoes near direct heat sources like radiators, as this can cause the materials to become brittle and may damage the adhesive bonds in the double-density outsole. Instead, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. For the interior, ensure the shoes are aired out between shifts to allow the antibacterial lining to function effectively.
