Product Overview
The I-Robox Top S3 CI ESD SRC is a technical ankle boot engineered for professionals who demand high-level protection without sacrificing musculoskeletal health. As part of the i4 collection, this footwear is designed to meet the rigorous S3 safety standard while incorporating advanced features for static dissipation and thermal insulation. It is a substantial and sturdy boot, built to provide a stable foundation in challenging industrial settings.
Key Features
- SlimCap Toe Cap: This metal-free 200-joule resistant toe cap provides essential protection against impact and compression while maintaining a lower profile and lighter feel than traditional steel alternatives.
- Fresh’n Flex Midsole: A puncture-resistant sole that protects the foot from sharp objects underfoot without compromising the flexibility required for natural movement.
- SmellStop Antibacterial Lining: An integrated lining that prevents the growth of bacteria and fungus, ensuring your footwear remains hygienic and odour-free even after long shifts.
- Air Tech + TPU-Skin Anti-Fatigue Sole: This patented technology provides a significant cushioning effect, reducing the physical strain on your joints and back during prolonged periods of standing.
- Cold Insulation (CI): Tested to provide thermal protection in temperatures as low as -17°C, making it an excellent choice for outdoor work or cold-storage environments.
Design & Performance
The upper is constructed from high-quality PU and TPU materials, selected for their water-resistant properties and durability. This material choice ensures the boot remains resilient against the elements and common industrial hydrocarbons. The addition of a protective overcap increases abrasion resistance at the toe, which is often the first area to show wear in demanding roles.
Performance is further enhanced by the SRC-rated slip resistance, providing the highest level of grip on both ceramic and steel surfaces. Despite its robust construction, the boot is entirely metal-free, which is particularly advantageous for individuals working in environments with security scanners or sensitive electronic equipment.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation on the I-Robox Top S3. Safety footwear is manufactured and certified as a complete unit to meet strict EN ISO 20345 standards. Any post-manufacture modification, such as embroidery or heat-applied branding, could compromise the structural integrity of the materials or damage the protective membranes, potentially voiding the safety certification and leaving the wearer at risk.
Use Cases
This boot is specifically designed for use in ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) environments where protection for sensitive electronic devices is paramount. It is also highly suitable for construction, engineering, and logistics professionals who require water-resistant, cold-insulated footwear with superior anti-fatigue properties for all-day wear.
Why MyWorkwear
MyWorkwear has been a trusted name in technical clothing and safety equipment since 1976. Based in Telford, we pride ourselves on our deep understanding of the practical needs of British tradespeople. We select our range based on technical merit and longevity, ensuring that every product we supply meets our rigorous standards for quality and performance.
Practical Advice
This model is designed to accommodate both men’s and women’s widths, making it a versatile choice for diverse teams. When pairing this boot with work socks, we recommend selecting a technical moisture-wicking sock to complement the SmellStop lining and maximise the boot’s breathability. For those requiring specific podiatric support, this boot is compatible with DGUV112-191 orthopaedic footbeds.
Caring for your product
Maintaining your footwear is essential for ensuring that the technical safety features remain effective throughout the life of the boot.
To clean the PU/TPU upper, use a damp cloth and a mild soap solution. You must avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or bleach, as these will degrade the synthetic materials and compromise the water-resistant properties of the boot.
If the boots become wet, allow them to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area. Do not place them directly against a radiator or use a heat gun; excessive heat will cause the materials to crack and can damage the adhesives holding the anti-fatigue sole in place. Should you attempt to iron these boots, you will find the TPU skin is remarkably resistant to becoming a crisp shirt, but highly susceptible to becoming a puddle on your floor.
Regularly check the outsole for debris to ensure the SRC slip resistance remains effective. Keeping the boots clean also ensures that the ESD properties are not hindered by a layer of non-conductive dirt or mud.
