Product Overview

The T-Robust Low S7 HRO CI HI LG SC FO SR is a high-specification safety ankle shoe from the Fortrex collection, engineered for professionals who require uncompromising protection in demanding environments. This substantial safety shoe is constructed from water-resistant Nabutek leather, offering a blend of durability and suppleness that is essential for long shifts on-site. Certified to the latest EN ISO 20345:2022 standards, it provides a comprehensive suite of safety features designed to withstand extreme temperatures, puncture hazards, and moisture ingress.

Key Features

  • SlimCap Toe-Cap: This non-metallic safety cap is lighter and thinner than traditional steel versions, providing 200 joules of impact resistance without the bulk or thermal conductivity of metal.
  • Fortrex Puncture Resistance: The patented non-metallic insert protects the foot from sharp objects, such as 3mm nails, ensuring safety across uneven ground and construction debris.
  • SmellStop Lining: An anti-bacterial treatment applied to the lining helps prevent the growth of odour-causing bacteria, maintaining a fresher internal environment for the wearer.
  • Dry’n Air Footbed: This system promotes air circulation within the shoe, reducing moisture build-up and keeping feet dry during periods of high activity.
  • Heat and Cold Insulation: The sole unit is specifically designed to insulate against heat up to 150°C and cold down to -17°C, making it suitable for year-round use in varying climates.

Design & Performance

The performance of the T-Robust Low is centred around its Fortrex sole unit, a sophisticated combination of PU and Rubber. This dual-density construction provides excellent shock absorption in the heel region, reducing fatigue when walking on hard surfaces. The rubber outsole is heat resistant to 300°C for up to one minute, providing a critical safety margin for those working on hot tarmac or near industrial heat sources.

The Nabutek leather upper is not only water-resistant but part of a fully waterproof construction. This ensures that while the leather blocks external moisture, the internal membranes allow the foot to breathe. The shoe also features hydrocarbon resistance and SR-rated slip resistance, ensuring stable footing on both ceramic and glycerin-coated surfaces.

Why No Customisation?

As this is a high-performance piece of safety footwear, we do not offer customisation services such as embroidery or printing. Altering the Nabutek leather upper or the internal membranes could compromise the waterproof integrity and the safety certifications of the shoe. We provide this product as-is to ensure it meets the rigorous EN ISO 20345:2022 safety standards upon which your protection depends.

Use Cases

This shoe is designed for heavy-duty industrial applications, including civil engineering, construction, and petrochemical industries. Its thermal insulation properties make it an excellent choice for workers moving between refrigerated environments and heated workshops, or those working outdoors in the unpredictable British weather.

Practical Advice

To ensure the best fit, please note that these shoes are designed with a generous fit (Width 12 for men and 10.5 for women). We recommend pairing them with high-quality moisture-wicking socks to complement the Dry’n Air footbed. When first wearing Nabutek leather, it may feel a little stiff; however, it will quickly soften and conform to the shape of your foot with regular use.

Caring for your product

To maintain the longevity and protective qualities of your footwear, regular maintenance is essential. Allowing dirt to build up on the Nabutek leather can eventually cause it to dry out and crack, compromising its water-resistant properties. We recommend cleaning the surface with a soft brush or damp cloth after use.

The rubber outsole should be checked regularly for debris trapped in the tread, as this can negatively impact the slip resistance. If the shoes become saturated, allow them to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators, as excessive heat can cause the leather to become brittle and the adhesives to fail.
