Product Overview

The Nimbus Women’s Williamsburg hooded sweatshirt represents a sophisticated intersection of professional utility and contemporary fashion. Designed with a meticulous eye for detail, this garment provides a refined appearance that transitions effortlessly from a demanding workplace to more relaxed social environments. It is constructed from a premium, organic cotton-rich blend, offering both environmental responsibility and a superior tactile experience that sets it apart from standard workwear options.

Key Features
  • Double-layer fabric at the hood provides structured warmth and a more substantial feel, ensuring the garment retains its shape over time.
  • Brushed fleece lining with a specific short-shave treatment creates a soft, luxurious interior that maintains its texture and reduces pilling.
  • Combed long-staple organic cotton offers a smoother surface and increased material strength, resulting in a sweatshirt that remains durable through repeated wear and washing.
  • A genuine YKK metal main zip provides reliable, smooth operation and a high-quality finish that significantly outlasts plastic alternatives.
  • Rugged drawstrings and leather detailing add distinct, high-quality aesthetic touches that elevate the overall professional appearance of the garment.

Design & Performance

This sweatshirt is a heavyweight garment, engineered for longevity and comfort. The fabric composition of 70% combed organic cotton and 30% polyester ensures the best of both worlds: the breathability of natural fibres and the structural stability of synthetics. This blend helps the garment retain its shape and prevents the shrinkage often associated with pure cotton products. The double-dyed process results in deep, lasting colour retention even after frequent laundering. Furthermore, the ribbing contains 5% elastane, which allows for necessary flexibility while ensuring the cuffs and waistband return to their original form, maintaining a neat silhouette throughout the working day.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The high-density surface of the Williamsburg sweatshirt makes it an exceptional canvas for both print and embroidery. Our in-house customisation team, based in Telford and operating since 1976, manages the entire process to ensure your branding is executed with precision. Embroidery is particularly effective on this substantial fabric, providing a traditional, high-end professional look for company logos or individual names. Alternatively, the smooth finish of the organic cotton accommodates large-scale printing perfectly, making it an ideal choice for bold, graphic designs on the back or sleeves that require sharp detail and vibrant colour.

Use Cases

This garment is perfectly suited for customer-facing roles where a relaxed yet polished image is required. It is an excellent choice for boutique retail staff, creative professionals, or team members in the hospitality sector who require a warm, comfortable layer that does not compromise on style. Its fashionable cut also makes it a popular choice for premium corporate gifting or high-end event merchandise where quality is the primary consideration.

Why MyWorkwear

Choosing MyWorkwear means partnering with a British business that has been at the forefront of the industry since 1976. Based in Telford, we bring decades of technical expertise to every garment we produce. We understand the specific requirements of professional workwear and ensure that every item leaving our facility meets our rigorous standards for quality, durability, and finish.

Practical Advice

The Williamsburg sweatshirt is designed with a modern, feminine fit. We recommend consulting the size guide to ensure the best fit across the shoulders and chest for a professional silhouette. As a heavyweight garment, it performs exceptionally well as an outer layer during transitional seasons or as a substantial mid-layer underneath a technical jacket in colder conditions.

Caring for your product

To maintain the premium feel of the brushed fleece and the integrity of the organic cotton, it is important to follow specific care guidelines that protect the garment's fibres.

We recommend avoiding the use of bleach or harsh chemical detergents. These substances can break down the organic cotton fibres over time and cause the deep, double-dyed colours to fade or streak prematurely.

When drying the garment, it is best to avoid high-heat tumble drying. Excessive heat can damage the elastane in the ribbing, leading to a loss of shape, and can also compromise the bond of any applied print or the tension of embroidery stitching.
