Product Overview

The Nimbus Women’s Benton hybrid vest represents a sophisticated approach to transitional workwear. Designed specifically for the female silhouette, this garment provides the essential core warmth required for outdoor tasks while maintaining the total arm mobility necessary for physical activity. It serves as an ideal layer for those who find a full jacket too restrictive but require protection from the elements. By utilising advanced recycled materials and sustainable insulation, the Benton offers a lightweight solution that does not compromise on thermal performance or professional appearance.

Key Features
  • Reverse main zip with metal logo puller: Provides a sleek, modern finish and ensures smooth operation, reducing the risk of snagging during active use.
  • Inside adjustable drawstring: Allows the wearer to customise the fit at the waist, helping to trap body heat and create a more tailored, professional silhouette.
  • Sorona Aura quilted padding: This bio-based insulation provides high-performance warmth without excessive bulk, ensuring the vest remains breathable and comfortable throughout the day.
  • Bionic Finish ECO water-repellent coating: Offers essential protection against light rain and moisture, keeping the wearer dry without the use of harmful fluorocarbons.
  • Recycled fabric construction: Made using materials sourced from plastic bottles and textile waste, providing a more environmentally responsible choice for your business uniform.

Design & Performance

The technical construction of the Benton vest focuses on durability and wearer comfort. The outer shell is crafted from 100% recycled nylon, paired with softshell panels containing 5% elastane. This combination ensures the garment is tough enough for daily work environments while providing the necessary stretch for ease of movement. The use of Sorona Aura insulation, which contains 30% bio-based material, provides a substantial feel without the weight typically associated with heavy winter gear. The inclusion of a metal logo puller and high-quality zips ensures that the hardware is as resilient as the fabric itself.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This hybrid vest is a versatile canvas for your company branding. For a superior finish that conveys authority and longevity, we recommend embroidery for chest-positioned logos or staff names. The stable softshell and nylon surfaces allow for high-stitch density, ensuring your branding remains crisp over time. Alternatively, for larger, more vibrant graphics on the back, heat-seal printing is an excellent option. All customisation is handled at our facility in Telford, where our expert team—active since 1976—ensures that every logo meets our rigorous standards for quality and precision.

Use Cases

The Benton vest is particularly suited for professionals who move between different environments, such as delivery drivers, site supervisors, or retail staff working in garden centres and warehouses. Its clean, athleisure-inspired design also makes it a popular choice for corporate events, sports club management, and hospitality teams looking for a modern, functional uniform that looks professional in customer-facing roles.

Practical Advice

This vest is designed with a female-specific fit and is available in a broad size range from XS to 3XL. Due to its lightweight insulation, it is highly effective as a layering piece over a polo shirt or a technical base layer. If you intend to wear the vest over thicker garments like a heavy sweatshirt, you may wish to utilise the internal drawstring to maintain a secure and professional fit around the waist.

Caring for your product

To ensure the longevity of the technical features, such as the water-repellent coating and the recycled fibres, it is important to follow the provided care instructions. Maintaining the garment correctly will preserve the integrity of both the fabric and your custom branding.

We recommend a gentle wash process and avoiding the use of bleach or strong chemical detergents. These substances can break down the synthetic fibres and the bio-based insulation, leading to a loss of shape and reduced thermal efficiency.

When drying the vest, avoid high-heat sources. Excessive heat can damage the elastane content in the softshell panels, which may cause the garment to lose its stretch and recovery properties over time. Always ensure the vest is fully dry before storage to maintain the loft of the Sorona Aura padding.
