Product Overview

The Nimbus Womens Camden diamond quilted gilet represents a sophisticated approach to corporate outerwear, blending the traditional aesthetics of country attire with a refined, urban silhouette. This lightweight, insulated garment is engineered for professionals who require a versatile layering solution that provides warmth without the bulk of a full jacket. The diamond quilting and tailored fit offer a sleek profile, making it as suitable for a morning commute as it is for a site visit or a client meeting.

Key Features

  • Bionic Finish ECO Water-Repellency: The outer fabric is treated with a sustainable finish that allows water to bead off the surface, protecting the wearer from light showers and damp conditions without the use of harmful fluorocarbons.

  • Secure Utility Pockets: Two front pockets equipped with flap and button closures provide safe storage for essential items, while an internal pocket offers additional security for more sensitive valuables.

  • Herringbone Tape Detailing: The inclusion of herringbone tape at the sleeves and bottom hem adds a subtle, high-quality finish that reinforces the garment's structure and prevents fraying over time.

  • Comfort Knit Collar: A medium-high neck collar with an integrated knit lining ensures comfort against the skin and helps trap heat around the neck area for improved thermal regulation.

Design & Performance

Constructed with a durable nylon outer shell and soft polyester lining, the Camden gilet is designed for lightweight performance. The diamond baffles serve a technical purpose beyond aesthetics, ensuring the synthetic insulation remains evenly distributed to prevent cold spots. The use of premium metal zips and Nimbus-specific leather details highlights a commitment to durability and professional appearance. The fabric's water-repellent properties are achieved through the Bionic Finish ECO technology, which aligns with modern sustainability standards while ensuring you remain dry during transitional weather.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This gilet is an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery, allowing businesses to align the garment with their corporate identity. For a truly professional and long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team can expertly stitch your logo or staff names onto the chest, providing a textured, high-end appearance that withstands frequent laundering. If your branding requires large, vibrant graphics or complex designs, our high-quality printing techniques are an ideal alternative. MyWorkwear has been refining these customisation processes since 1976, ensuring that every piece of branded workwear meets our rigorous quality standards.

Use Cases

The Camden gilet is particularly effective for staff in corporate environments, hospitality, or estate management where a professional image is paramount. It serves as an ideal mid-layer for those working in drafty office spaces or as a stylish outer layer for outdoor events. Its lightweight nature also makes it a practical choice for commuters who require a portable layer that can be easily stowed when not in use.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear has established itself as a leading authority in the UK workwear industry. Operating from our facility in Telford, we manage the entire customisation process in-house. Our longevity in the market is a testament to our expertise in garment selection and branding precision, ensuring that your team looks cohesive and professional from the moment they put on their uniform.

Practical Advice

This gilet is designed with a feminine, tailored fit. For those intending to wear it over heavier knitwear or sweatshirts, it may be prudent to consider a size larger than usual to ensure ease of movement. The medium-high neck provides excellent wind protection, but for maximum thermal efficiency, we recommend pairing it with a technical base layer and a professional outer shell in colder environments.

Caring for your product

To preserve the water-repellent properties of the Bionic Finish ECO and ensure the longevity of your custom branding, it is essential to follow correct maintenance procedures. Maintaining the integrity of the nylon shell requires careful attention to chemical exposure and heat.

We advise against the use of harsh detergents or bleach, as these can break down the technical water-repellent coatings and weaken the synthetic fibres, leading to premature wear and fading of your logo. Using a gentle cycle will help the garment retain its shape and colour for longer.

When drying, air drying is generally preferred over high-heat tumble drying. Excessive heat can damage the synthetic padding and the leather details, potentially causing shrinkage or distortion of the quilted pattern. Ensuring the gilet is completely dry before storage prevents moisture buildup within the insulation.
