Nimbus Whitestone – performance shell jacket

Product Overview

The Nimbus Whitestone performance shell jacket is a sophisticated piece of technical outerwear designed to withstand the unpredictable British elements. Engineered with a focus on versatility, this jacket features the Nimbus zip-in function, which allows for the integration of a warm inner jacket. This modular approach transforms a lightweight shell into a substantial winter garment, providing a tailored solution for various weather conditions without sacrificing professional aesthetics.

Key Features

• The waterproof and windproof fabric provides a robust barrier against heavy rain and high winds, ensuring the wearer remains dry and comfortable in challenging environments.
• Integrated breathability allows moisture vapour to escape, preventing the buildup of heat and sweat during periods of physical activity.
• A detachable and adjustable hood offers customisable protection, allowing for a streamlined look when the weather permits or maximum coverage when required.
• Constructed from recycled materials, including plastic bottles and textile waste, this jacket supports corporate sustainability goals without compromising on technical performance.

Design & Performance

This jacket is constructed from a high-quality recycled polyester shell with a protective PU coating. The inclusion of taped seams is a critical technical detail, ensuring that water cannot penetrate the stitched areas where the fabric is most vulnerable. The exterior is treated with Bionic Finish ECO, a water-repellent finish that ensures water beads off the surface effectively. The lightweight shell and lining ensure the jacket remains easy to move in, while the placket-covered zip provides an additional layer of protection against wind ingress.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The smooth, technical surface of the Whitestone jacket makes it an excellent candidate for customisation. For a sophisticated and enduring appearance, embroidery is the preferred choice for logos and staff names. It provides a textured finish that complements the premium nature of the Nimbus brand. Alternatively, heat-applied print is well-suited for larger, bold designs that require high visibility. Our in-house team in Telford, established in 1976, manages the entire process to ensure your branding meets our rigorous standards.

Use Cases

This jacket is perfectly suited for corporate teams, site managers, and outdoor professionals who require a garment that transitions seamlessly from the office to the field. Its clean lines and technical capabilities make it ideal for high-end promotional wear or as part of a tiered uniform system where layering is essential for year-round comfort.

Practical Advice

The Whitestone jacket is designed with a standard fit, ranging from S to 4XL. To maximise its utility, consider the layering potential; while it performs exceptionally as a standalone waterproof shell, zipping in a compatible inner layer provides the necessary insulation for colder months. We recommend reviewing the specific size guide to ensure the best fit for your team.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance characteristics of this shell jacket, it is vital to follow the care instructions found on the internal label. Proper maintenance ensures the Bionic Finish ECO remains effective and the PU coating does not degrade prematurely.

Avoid using harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as these can clog the breathable pores of the fabric and strip away the water-repellent finish. Following the recommended wash cycles will help preserve the integrity of the taped seams and ensure any custom branding remains vibrant and secure over time.
