Product Overview

The Nimbus Vermont gilet is a sophisticated piece of technical outerwear designed to offer substantial warmth without the restrictive bulk of a full jacket. Engineered for the professional environment, this down-filled garment provides essential core insulation while allowing for total freedom of movement. Its versatile design makes it an ideal choice for urban activities or as a smart layering piece for business professionals and tradespeople alike.

Key Features
  • Superior Down Insulation: With 700 fill power, this gilet utilizes high-loft insulation to provide exceptional warmth, ensuring you stay comfortable during cold autumn days.
  • YKK Metalux Main Zipper: The inclusion of a premium YKK Metalux zipper ensures a smooth, reliable operation and adds a touch of refined quality to the garment's front.
  • Water-Repellent Bionic Finish ECO: This eco-friendly treatment allows the fabric to repel water effectively, protecting you from light rain while supporting sustainable manufacturing practices.
  • Functional Storage: Side pockets featuring hidden zippers provide a secure place for essentials without disrupting the clean, professional silhouette of the gilet.

Design & Performance

Constructed with a 100% nylon outer and lining, the Vermont gilet is a lightweight yet durable garment that stands up to daily wear. The insulation is a premium blend of 90% duck down and 10% duck feather, providing a natural heat-trapping layer that is far more efficient than many synthetic alternatives. The fabric choice ensures the garment remains breathable while the water-repellent finish prevents the insulation from becoming compromised in damp conditions.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The premium nylon surface of the Vermont gilet is exceptionally well-suited for customisation. For a refined, professional appearance, we recommend embroidery. Our high-stitch-count embroidery creates a permanent, textured finish for company logos or names, ensuring your brand is presented with authority.

If your branding requires a larger or more vibrant design, this garment also supports high-quality printing. At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based team has been managing customisation in-house since 1976. We ensure that every logo is applied with precision, maintaining the technical properties of the gilet while ensuring your team looks professional.

Use Cases

This gilet is perfectly suited for professionals who move frequently between indoor and outdoor environments, such as project managers, site surveyors, or delivery experts. It provides the necessary warmth for site visits while maintaining a sharp appearance for office meetings or client consultations.

Practical Advice

To maximize the utility of the Vermont gilet, consider using it as a versatile layering tool. It fits comfortably over a medium-weight sweatshirt or a formal shirt, but its slim profile also allows it to be worn underneath a larger waterproof coat as a thermal mid-layer. The size range extends to 4XL, ensuring a consistent and comfortable fit for all members of your workforce.

Caring for your product

Proper maintenance is required to preserve the natural loft of the duck down and the efficacy of the water-repellent finish. Keeping the garment clean ensures that the insulation can trap air effectively, which is essential for maintaining its thermal properties.

We recommend following the specific instructions provided on the care label to avoid damaging the technical finish. Neglecting these instructions may lead to a loss of the water-repellent capabilities of the Bionic Finish ECO, which can affect how the garment performs in wet weather. Consistent care will ensure your custom branding remains in excellent condition for the lifespan of the garment.
