Product Overview

The Nimbus Kingston stretch deluxe pique shirt is a refined alternative to traditional corporate wear, blending the structured appearance of a formal shirt with the breathable comfort of a pique knit. Engineered from a luxurious combed organic cotton blend, this garment is designed for the modern professional who values both style and substance. The tailored fit and airy pique construction ensure a contemporary silhouette that remains comfortable throughout a demanding workday.

Key Features
  • Stretch Deluxe Fitting: The inclusion of elastane allows the garment to contour to the body while providing the flexibility required for active roles.
  • Organic Cotton Composition: Utilising organic cotton ensures a softer feel against the skin and supports more sustainable textile production practices.
  • Button-Down Collar: This design feature ensures the collar remains upright and neat, maintaining a professional appearance even without a tie.
  • Airy Pique Construction: The textured weave enhances breathability, allowing for superior temperature regulation in varied environments.

Design & Performance

The Kingston shirt is crafted from a substantial, medium-weight fabric that offers a premium hand-feel and excellent opacity. The blend of 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane is specifically chosen for its recovery properties; the shirt retains its shape even after repeated wear and laundry cycles. The pique knit provides a subtle texture that adds depth to the garment's appearance while resisting the creasing often associated with standard poplin shirts.

Durability is at the forefront of the design, with high-quality stitching and a robust construction that stands up to the rigours of professional use. The fabric's breathability makes it particularly effective for indoor environments where maintaining a consistent body temperature is essential for comfort.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The stable pique weave of the Kingston shirt makes it an ideal canvas for customisation. For a sophisticated and enduring finish, we recommend embroidery. Our in-house team uses high-tensile threads to replicate your company logo or staff names with precision, providing a textured, three-dimensional look that complements the pique fabric perfectly.

Alternatively, for larger promotional graphics or bold branding, this garment also supports high-quality printing. Whether you choose the traditional authority of embroidery or the visual impact of print, all customisation is handled at our dedicated facility in Telford. Since 1976, we have refined our processes to ensure your branding remains sharp and professional.

Use Cases

This shirt is perfectly suited for the hospitality sector, where staff require a uniform that is both elegant and functional. It also serves as an excellent choice for corporate casual environments, providing a smarter alternative to a standard polo shirt when paired with chinos. Its breathable nature and stretch properties also make it a practical option for front-of-house roles and events management.

Practical Advice

The Kingston features a tailored, stretch fit. If you prefer a more relaxed silhouette or intend to wear a thermal base layer beneath it during colder months, you may wish to consider sizing up. The size range extends from Small (38") to 3XL (48"), catering to a wide variety of body types while maintaining a consistent team appearance.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and aesthetic of your Kingston shirt, it is important to follow professional care standards. Regular laundering helps to remove oils and salts that can degrade the organic cotton fibres over time. We recommend washing the garment inside out to protect any custom embroidery or print from abrasion against the machine drum.

Avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemicals will break down the elastane fibres, causing the shirt to lose its stretch and recovery properties. Furthermore, organic cotton is best dried naturally; excessive heat in a tumble dryer can lead to unnecessary shrinkage and may dull the vibrancy of your customised logo.

When ironing, use a medium setting and avoid direct contact with any printed areas to prevent heat damage. Proper ironing of the button-down collar while slightly damp will ensure it retains its crisp, professional shape for the duration of its life.
