Product Overview

The Nimbus Kendrick is a sophisticated, hybrid-style quilted jacket that expertly balances modern aesthetic appeal with technical performance. Designed for the professional who requires warmth without the restrictive bulk of a traditional heavy coat, this garment features a distinctive V-shape quilting that provides a streamlined silhouette. The jacket is engineered with Sorona Aura insulation, a sustainable choice that ensures exceptional thermal retention while remaining remarkably lightweight. Its versatile design allows it to function as a refined standalone outer layer or as a zip-in liner for compatible Nimbus outerwear, making it an adaptable choice for the shifting British seasons.

Key Features
  • V-shape quilted body: This specific design choice ensures the insulation is evenly distributed, preventing cold spots and providing a contemporary, tailored appearance.
  • Sorona Aura insulation: Utilising bio-based materials, this padding offers superior softness and warmth-to-weight performance, ensuring comfort throughout the working day.
  • Bionic Finish ECO: A high-performance water-repellent treatment that allows moisture to bead off the fabric surface, protecting the wearer from light rain and drizzle.
  • Zip-in functionality: Includes dedicated straps at the sleeves for secure attachment to the Nimbus Whitestone outer jacket, creating a comprehensive weather-protection system.
  • Snap-button side pockets: These provide a secure and easily accessible space for essential items, maintaining a clean look while ensuring functionality.

Design & Performance

The Kendrick is constructed from high-quality 100% polyester for both the outer shell and the lining, chosen for its durability and resistance to daily wear. The inclusion of Sorona Aura insulation, which contains 30% bio-based material, demonstrates a commitment to sustainable manufacturing without compromising on technical capability. The fabric is finished with a Bionic Finish ECO, which provides water repellency without the use of fluorocarbons, ensuring the jacket remains functional in damp conditions. Despite its impressive thermal properties, the jacket remains a lightweight layer that facilitates ease of movement, making it ideal for active professionals.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The smooth, high-quality polyester surface of the Nimbus Kendrick makes it an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery. For a professional corporate appearance, we recommend embroidery; our precision machinery creates a textured, premium finish for company logos or staff names that stands up to regular use. If your branding requires large, vibrant graphics, our technical printing processes ensure sharp detail and lasting colour. Every garment is customised by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on decades of experience to ensure your brand is represented with absolute clarity.

Use Cases

This jacket is an ideal choice for corporate uniforms, client-facing roles, and management professionals who require a garment that is as smart as it is practical. Its lightweight and packable nature makes it perfect for those who travel between sites or work in logistics, where temperature regulation and professional appearance are equally important.

Practical Advice

The Kendrick features a fashionable, tailored fit. If you intend to wear this jacket over a heavy sweatshirt or thick knitwear, you may wish to consider selecting a larger size to ensure maximum comfort. For those using the zip-in function, always ensure the sleeve straps are properly secured to the Whitestone outer jacket to maintain a professional fit and prevent the layers from shifting.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical integrity of the Bionic Finish ECO and the loft of the Sorona insulation, it is vital to follow the care instructions provided on the garment label. Proper maintenance of the water-repellent finish ensures that the jacket continues to protect you from the elements; failing to do so may cause the outer fabric to absorb water rather than repel it.

When washing, avoid using fabric softeners as these can clog the fibres and diminish the effectiveness of the water-repellent coating. Ensuring the jacket is dried correctly will help maintain the structure of the quilting and the thermal efficiency of the bio-based padding, keeping the garment in peak condition for longer.
