Product Overview
The Nimbus Eastlake jacket is a sophisticated piece of transitional outerwear designed for those who require a balance between thermal efficiency and a streamlined, professional silhouette. This insulated jacket avoids the cumbersome bulk often associated with padded garments, opting instead for a lightweight construction that prioritises ease of movement and a clean, modern aesthetic. Engineered with a matte finish, it serves as an excellent outer layer for professionals who need to maintain a polished appearance while navigating changing weather conditions.
Key Features
- Integrated Zipped Pockets: Securely house essential tools or personal items with robust zip closures that prevent loss during active movement.
- Elasticated Cuffs and Hem: These provide a secure fit that seals in warmth and prevents wind ingress, maintaining a consistent internal microclimate.
- 3000mm Water Resistance: Treated with BIONIC-FINISH® ECO, the shell offers reliable protection against light rain and drizzle, ensuring you stay dry during short exposures.
- Windproof Construction: The technical membrane acts as a barrier against wind chill, which is vital for maintaining core temperature in exposed environments.
- Eco-Efficient Insulation: Utilising Sorona Aura performance fibre, the jacket provides significant warmth-to-weight benefits while adhering to sustainable manufacturing practices.
Design & Performance
The performance of the Eastlake jacket is rooted in its advanced material composition. The outer shell is crafted from a high-performance blend of recycled polyamide and Spandex. The inclusion of Spandex is critical; it allows the fabric to stretch and recover, ensuring the jacket moves with the wearer rather than resisting them—a necessary feature for active trades and site visits. Despite its lightweight nature, the jacket remains highly functional with a breathability rating of 3000g/m²/24h, allowing moisture vapour to escape and preventing the clammy sensation often found in lower-quality synthetic layers.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Nimbus Eastlake jacket is a superior canvas for corporate branding. For a truly professional and long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery. The fabric density and the quality of the recycled shell support high-stitch-count logos, allowing your company identity to be rendered with precision and depth. For those requiring larger, more vibrant graphics for promotional events or high-visibility branding, our technical print processes are equally effective on this matte surface. All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, where we have been refining our craft since 1976.
Pros & Cons
Pros: Excellent mobility due to the stretch outer fabric; highly sustainable materials including recycled nylon and polyester; sophisticated matte aesthetic suitable for corporate environments.
Cons: With a 3000mm water resistance rating, it is designed for showers rather than prolonged heavy downpours; the lightweight insulation may require additional layering in sub-zero temperatures.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for client-facing professionals, site managers, and corporate teams who require a uniform that bridges the gap between technical workwear and high-street fashion. It is perfect for commuting, outdoor events, or as a consistent layer for staff working in semi-sheltered environments such as large warehouses or garden centres.

Practical Advice
The Eastlake features a classic cut that is designed to be true to size. If you intend to wear this over a heavy sweatshirt or thick knitwear, you may wish to consider the measurements provided in our size guide to ensure a comfortable fit. The stretch fabric provides some leeway, but the insulation performs best when not overly compressed against the body.
Caring for your product
To maintain the technical integrity of the water-repellent finish and the loft of the Sorona insulation, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Using higher temperatures can degrade the TPU membrane and reduce the jacket's weather resistance over time.
Do not use bleach or harsh chemical detergents, as these will damage the recycled polyamide fibres and cause the colour to fade prematurely. This jacket must not be tumble dried; heat from drying cycles can cause the synthetic materials to shrink or lose their shape. Simply hang the garment to air dry naturally.
Ironing should be avoided entirely. The technical shell is designed to be wrinkle-resistant, and the application of a hot iron will melt the Spandex and nylon components, causing permanent damage to the fabric surface. Dry cleaning is also not recommended as the solvents used can strip the BIONIC-FINISH® ECO impregnation from the shell.
