Product Overview
The Hi-Vis Polo Shirt S/S in Red is a professionally engineered garment designed to provide a superior alternative to standard high-visibility workwear. Constructed with thoughtful attention to detail, this polo shirt is specifically designed for those working in warmer conditions where breathability and visibility are equally paramount. By combining a classic professional silhouette with modern high-visibility requirements, it ensures your team remains both safe and presentable on-site.
Key Features
- 100% Polyester Bird Eye Knit: This specialised knit pattern enhances airflow across the skin, keeping the wearer cool and dry during physical exertion.
- High-Visibility Red: The bold red colour provides an alternative high-visibility option, ensuring distinct identification in busy working environments.
- Short Sleeve Design: Ideal for indoor environments or summer work, providing maximum ventilation and freedom of movement.
- Durable Construction: Engineered to be more resilient and longer-lasting than leading competitor products, reducing the frequency of replacements for your business.
Design & Performance
The performance of this polo shirt lies in its Bird Eye Knit construction. This lightweight fabric is not only soft against the skin but is also highly efficient at moisture management. Unlike standard polyester, the 'bird eye' structure creates a larger surface area for evaporation, which prevents the garment from feeling heavy or damp during a long shift. The fabric is robust enough to withstand the rigours of daily industrial use while maintaining its shape and professional appearance.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This garment is an excellent canvas for your corporate branding. For a sophisticated and enduring finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and individual staff names. It adds a textured, high-quality feel that withstands frequent laundering. Alternatively, for large-scale logos or promotional messaging, our high-quality print services offer bold, sharp results that remain highly visible. All customisation is performed by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on nearly five decades of experience since our founding in 1976.
Use Cases
This polo shirt is particularly suited for site managers, warehouse operatives, and construction professionals working in high-temperature environments. It is also an ideal choice for event staff or transport workers who require visibility without the bulk of a traditional waistcoat or jacket.

Practical Advice
This polo shirt features a regular fit, providing enough room for comfortable movement without being overly baggy. In colder months, it serves as an effective moisture-wicking base layer beneath a high-visibility fleece or waterproof jacket, helping to regulate body temperature even when layering.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility properties and structural integrity of the fabric, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the polyester fibres and degrade the reflective capabilities over time.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents will compromise the high-visibility dye and weaken the knit structure, leading to premature wear and potential safety non-compliance.
This garment should be line dried rather than tumble dried. Tumble drying can cause shrinkage and may damage the specialised bird eye knit. To maintain the professional finish, do not iron this shirt; the polyester fabric is naturally crease-resistant, and high heat will melt the fibres.
Please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 50 washes. Beyond this point, the high-visibility properties may no longer meet safety standards, and the garment should be replaced to ensure continued protection.
