Product Overview

The Kustom Kit Business Shirt (KK102) is a quintessential garment for the modern professional, balancing traditional tailoring with contemporary fabric technology. Constructed from a lightweight cotton-rich poplin, this short-sleeved shirt is designed specifically for the rigours of the corporate and hospitality sectors. The classic fit ensures a comfortable range of movement without sacrificing a sharp, structured silhouette, while the easy-iron finish is a practical addition for those with a demanding schedule.

Key Features
  • Fused Stand-Up Collar: Provides a crisp, permanent shape that maintains its professional appearance throughout the day, whether worn with or without a tie.
  • Easy-Iron Finish: This specialized coating reduces creasing and simplifies maintenance, ensuring you spend less time at the ironing board and more time being productive.
  • Practical Chest Pocket: Positioned on the left side, this functional feature offers convenient storage for pens or essential documents without disrupting the shirt's clean lines.
  • Durable Construction: Featuring double-stitched sleeve and side seams alongside single needle stitching on the yoke and armholes for enhanced longevity and structural integrity.
  • Inclusive Sizing: With a comprehensive size range from 14.5" up to 21", this shirt accommodates a wide variety of body types for a unified team appearance.

Design & Performance

Performance is at the heart of the KK102's design. The 55% cotton and 45% polyester blend offers the best of both worlds: the natural breathability and soft hand-feel of cotton combined with the moisture-wicking and crease-resistant properties of polyester. The poplin weave creates a smooth, even surface that feels cool against the skin, making it an excellent choice for temperature-controlled offices or high-pressure environments.

The attention to detail is evident in the finishing touches, such as the rounded hem and the inclusion of a spare button, ensuring the garment remains functional even after extensive wear. Furthermore, the garment meets several high-standard accreditations, including Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and REACH, confirming that it is produced safely and responsibly.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The smooth poplin weave of the KK102 provides an exceptional canvas for both print and embroidery. For a formal corporate identity, we recommend high-density embroidery. This technique is particularly effective for logos or staff names on the chest or collar, providing a three-dimensional, premium finish that withstands industrial laundering.

If your branding requires larger, more intricate designs or bold graphics, our precision printing methods offer vibrant colour reproduction. Regardless of your choice, all customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on decades of experience since 1976 to ensure your brand is represented with absolute precision.

Use Cases

This shirt is a versatile staple suitable for a variety of sectors. It is particularly well-suited for corporate office environments, retail management, and the hospitality industry. Its professional look and short sleeves also make it an ideal choice for trade show staff or client-facing personnel who need to remain cool while maintaining a formal aesthetic.

Practical Advice

The KK102 is a classic fit garment, meaning it offers a more generous cut through the chest and waist compared to slim-fit alternatives. When selecting your size, we recommend measuring your neck circumference accurately to ensure the fused collar sits comfortably. In cooler months, this lightweight shirt layers perfectly under a tailored blazer or a V-neck jumper without creating excessive bulk.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and the easy-iron properties of the fabric, it is essential to follow the recommended care protocols. Proper care ensures the shirt retains its professional lustre and your customised branding remains intact.

We recommend a machine wash at 40°C on a gentle cycle. Washing at this temperature effectively removes oils and dirt without causing the synthetic fibres in the blend to degrade or the fused collar to lose its shape. Avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemicals will break down the fabric fibres and lead to premature wear and discolouration.

This garment should not be tumble dried. High heat from a dryer can stress the seams and may cause the easy-iron finish to become less effective over time. Instead, hang the shirt while damp to allow it to air dry naturally. For a crisp, professional finish, use a two-dot iron setting (medium heat). Ironing while the garment is slightly damp will yield the best results and restore the sharp lines of the collar and placket.
