Product Overview
The Yoko Hi-vis two-tone motorway jacket is a robust and professionally designed outer layer engineered to provide high-visibility protection in demanding outdoor environments. Established in 1976, MyWorkwear understands that workwear must do more than just meet safety standards; it must also maintain a professional image and withstand the daily rigours of the job. This jacket achieves this through a clever two-tone design that places navy contrast panels at the hem and cuffs—the areas most prone to scuffing and dirt—ensuring your team looks presentable even after a long shift on the roadside or site.
Key Features
- Certified Safety Standards: This garment conforms to EN ISO20471:2013 Class 3 and EN343:2003 + A1:2007 Class 3.1, providing you with the highest level of visibility and protection against foul weather.
- Railway Industry Compliance: The Hi-Vis Orange/Navy colourway meets RIS-3279-TOM standards, making it suitable for use within the UK rail industry.
- Weatherproof Construction: Stitched and taped seams combined with a waterproof PU coating ensure that moisture stays out, keeping you dry during heavy downpours.
- Integrated Warmth: The interior features substantial quilted padding and a smooth nylon lining, offering essential thermal insulation during colder months.
- Secure Storage: Equipped with two large outer pockets with storm flaps and an internal breast pocket for safely storing essential tools or mobile devices.
Design & Performance
The performance of this jacket is rooted in its heavy-duty construction. The outer fabric is a sturdy polyester that has been PU coated to provide a reliable barrier against wind and rain. To ensure complete waterproof integrity, every seam is stitched and then taped, preventing water ingress at the points where traditional garments typically fail. The navy contrast panels are not merely aesthetic; they serve a practical purpose by disguising the inevitable grime and grease encountered in industrial and transport roles.
For the wearer, comfort is maintained through thoughtful design details. Knitted storm cuffs inside the sleeves prevent cold draughts from travelling up the arms, while a heavy-duty zip sits behind a studded storm flap to block wind and rain. The concealed hood with a drawcord can be deployed during inclement weather or tucked away when a more streamlined look is required.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
At MyWorkwear, we have been perfecting garment customisation in our Telford facility since 1976. This motorway jacket is exceptionally well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your safety gear with your corporate branding. For a traditional, high-quality finish, embroidery is the preferred choice for company logos on the chest, providing a durable and professional appearance that stands the test of time.
If you require larger, high-impact branding across the back, our heat-applied printing process is ideal. This method allows for bold designs that remain highly visible without compromising the waterproof properties of the jacket. Our in-house experts manage the entire process, ensuring your branding is applied with precision and care.
Use Cases
This jacket is an essential piece of equipment for professionals working in motorway maintenance, recovery services, and large-scale logistics operations. Its compliance with rail standards makes the orange variant perfect for trackside workers, while the high-visibility yellow is a staple for construction site management and security personnel who require maximum visibility and weather protection throughout the winter months.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear beneath the jacket. This garment features a generous fit from Small to 3XL to accommodate jumpers or sweatshirts. If you are frequently working in wet conditions, we recommend pairing this jacket with the matching waterproof trousers (codes HVS461, HVS462, or HVS463) to ensure full-body protection from the elements.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility performance and waterproof integrity of this jacket, it is important to follow the specific care instructions provided. Maintaining the cleanliness of the reflective tape is crucial, as dirt can significantly reduce its effectiveness in low-light conditions.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a synthetic cycle. It is vital that you do not use biological washing powders or bleach, as these contain chemicals that can degrade the reflective materials and the waterproof coating. To preserve the structure of the quilted padding and the PU coating, do not tumble dry, wring, or iron the garment. Instead, use a cold rinse and a short spin, and allow the jacket to drip dry naturally.
Please be aware that this garment has a maximum limit of 25 wash cycles. Exceeding this may diminish the safety properties of the hi-vis fabric and reflective tape, at which point the jacket should be replaced to ensure continued compliance with safety regulations.
