Product Overview

The Yoko YK032 Hi-Vis Pull-Over Hoodie offers a sophisticated balance between casual comfort and essential safety compliance. Engineered for professionals who require high-visibility protection without the rigidity of traditional outerwear, this medium-weight hoodie is constructed from a soft-feel polyester jersey. Designed to meet stringent EN ISO20471 Class 3 standards, it ensures the wearer remains visible in low-light environments while providing a modern, relaxed aesthetic suitable for a variety of industrial settings.

Key Features
  • EN ISO20471 Class 3 Certification: The yellow, orange, and two-tone variations are fully compliant, providing the highest level of visibility for maximum safety on site.
  • Water-Repellent Finish: The fabric is treated to repel water, keeping the wearer dry during light showers and damp conditions.
  • Anti-Pill Single Jersey Fabric: This specialized knit prevents the formation of small bobbles on the fabric surface, ensuring the garment maintains a professional appearance over time.
  • Reflective Tape Configuration: Features two 5cm reflective bands around the body and arms, with additional bands over the shoulders to ensure visibility from all angles.
  • Reinforced Construction: Twin needle stitching is utilized throughout the garment to provide superior seam strength and longevity in demanding work environments.

Design & Performance

The performance of the YK032 lies in its construction details. The 100% polyester single jersey fabric offers a soft-feel finish that is comfortable against the skin, while the drop shoulder design allows for a greater range of movement during physical tasks. The taped back neck is a subtle but vital inclusion, preventing irritation and enhancing the overall structural integrity of the collar area. For practical utility, the large front kangaroo pocket provides a space for warming hands or storing non-essential items, while the knitted ribbed cuffs and waistband ensure a secure fit that helps retain body heat.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Yoko Hi-Vis Hoodie is an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your safety gear with your corporate identity. Embroidery is highly recommended for adding company logos or staff names to the chest area; it provides a durable, high-quality finish that withstands the rigours of daily wear. For larger, more striking branding on the back, our precision printing techniques offer bold results that remain legible even at a distance. Our expert team at MyWorkwear has been refining these processes at our Telford facility since 1976, ensuring your branding is applied with technical precision.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for professionals in sectors such as construction, logistics, and roadside assistance where high visibility is non-negotiable. It is equally suited for warehouse managers who transition between office environments and active loading bays. The pull-over design makes it a versatile layer for those working in temperate climates or as a substantial mid-layer during colder winter months.

Practical Advice

The YK032 features a generous size range from S to 3XL. Given its medium-weight construction, it is ideal for layering over moisture-wicking base layers for enhanced climate control. When selecting your size, consider whether you will be wearing it over other garments to ensure a comfortable fit that does not restrict movement.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-visibility properties and structural integrity of this hoodie, proper care is essential. Adhering to the following instructions will ensure the garment continues to meet safety standards and looks professional for its entire lifespan.

We recommend a maximum washing temperature of 40°C using a synthetic cycle. It is vital to avoid biological washing powders, as the enzymes can degrade the water-repellent finish and the reflective properties of the tape. A cold rinse and short spin are advised to protect the fabric's soft-feel texture.

Do not use bleach, as this will destroy the high-visibility pigments. The garment should not be tumble dried, wrung out, or ironed, as excessive heat and mechanical stress can damage the heat-applied reflective tapes and lead to fabric shrinkage. This garment is rated for a maximum of 25 wash cycles to ensure it remains compliant with safety visibility regulations.
