Product Overview

The Yoko Hi-vis Dog Vest is a professionally engineered safety garment designed to ensure your canine companions are as visible and protected as their handlers. Constructed from a durable, substantial polyester fabric, this vest is built to withstand the rigours of outdoor activity while providing maximum visibility in low-light environments. Whether for professional security work, search and rescue, or simply ensuring safety during late-evening patrols, this vest provides a clear visual signal to motorists and other workers.

Key Features

  • High-Visibility Reflective Elements: Includes both a wide reflective band and a reflective border, which work together to bounce light back to its source, significantly increasing safety in the dark.
  • Secure Hook and Loop Fastenings: Features strong tear-and-release closures under the neck and the body, allowing for a secure, adjustable fit that stays in place even when the dog is active.
  • Large Decoration Area: Designed with a generous flat surface, making it the ideal canvas for identifying logos, names, or club branding.
  • Oeko-Tex Certification: This ensures the fabric has been tested for harmful substances, providing peace of mind regarding the safety of the materials against your dog's coat and skin.

Design & Performance

Crafted from 100% polyester with a dense weave, this vest offers a sturdy feel without being overly restrictive. The fabric is specifically chosen for its ability to retain vibrant fluorescent colour and its resilience against tearing during field use. The wrap-around design ensures the vest doesn't interfere with the dog's natural movement, while the long hook and loop strips allow for a degree of sizing flexibility, accommodating different breeds and builds with ease.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This dog vest is excellently suited for both print and embroidery, and we handle all customisation in-house at our Telford facility, drawing on expertise dating back to 1976. For a formal, "proper" professional look—such as a security firm logo or a dog's name—embroidery offers a high-quality, textured finish that stands up well to repeated wear. For larger, bold graphics or club names where maximum impact is required, our high-quality print methods ensure the design remains vibrant and clearly legible from a distance.

Use Cases

This garment is essential for professional security dog handlers, search and rescue teams, and canine training clubs. It is equally valuable for walkers who require their dogs to be seen during winter months or on rural roads where visibility is paramount.

Practical Advice

When selecting a size, we recommend measuring your dog's neck and girth while they are standing. If the dog is between sizes or wears a thick harness, opting for the larger size will ensure the hook and loop fastenings have a secure overlap for maximum hold.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-visibility properties and the integrity of your custom branding, we recommend washing this vest at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a synthetic cycle. This helps to remove dirt without degrading the polyester fibres or the reflective elements.

Avoid the use of biological washing powders and bleach, as these contain chemicals that can break down the fluorescent dyes and damage the reflective tape, eventually making the vest less effective. Do not tumble dry, wring, or iron the garment, as high heat and mechanical stress can melt the polyester and cause the reflective materials to crack or peel. We recommend a cold rinse and a short spin to keep the vest in peak condition for its maximum 25-wash lifecycle.
