Practical Advice
When applying this tape, ensure your heat press is calibrated between 160°C and 190°C to achieve an optimal bond. We recommend testing a small section if you are unsure of the fabric composition. For teams working in layered environments, consider applying the tape to both base layers and mid-layers to ensure visibility is maintained even if a jacket is removed during physical labour.
Caring for your product
To maintain the reflective efficiency and the integrity of the heat seal, it is vital to follow the recommended care instructions. We advise a domestic wash at a maximum of 60°C using a synthetic cycle. Exceeding this temperature can degrade the adhesive and the reflective beads, reducing the tape's safety effectiveness.
Avoid the use of biological washing powders and bleaching agents. These chemicals are too harsh for the reflective elements and will cause the tape to dull prematurely. Similarly, do not dry clean the product, as the solvents used in that process can dissolve the heat-seal bond.
This product must not be tumble dried, wrung out, or ironed. High heat from an iron or the mechanical stress of a tumble dryer will damage the reflective surface and likely cause the tape to peel. After washing, a cold rinse and a short spin are sufficient. Please note that the tape is rated for a maximum of 25 wash cycles to ensure it continues to meet safety standards.
